The following is a review of my wedding at The Villa Levens: Everything (from initially enquiring with The Villa Levens, to booking it, planning it and the day itself) was absolutely perfect. Alison and all Villa Levens staff did an incredible job to help make our wedding the wonderful and personalised day and night that it was. The building and grounds look fantastic in real life and in photos, the food tasted delicious, the hotel rooms were luxurious, and with the flexibility of choosing from the venue's amazing list of reliable vendors or choosing your own, everyone had a fabulous time. The following is a review of visiting The Villa Levens again after the wedding: My husband and I have visited The Villa a couple of times since we got married there: for our 1 year anniversary (August 2023) and for a few nights in November 2023. The Villa staff made each visit special, including lovely afternoon tea.

My wife and I stayed at the Villa Levens in mid May for our 38th wedding anniversary – the staff simply could not do enough for us, the rooms were immaculate, the food was simply gorgeous, and the walking from the hotel was breathtaking – we only needed to use our car once!!! Lovely hotel, ideally located not far from the m6 , but secluded in the country. Staff were all lovely & helpful. We had a delightful room & enjoyed delicious and well cooked food. Set in beautiful grounds. Ideally located to visit nearby tourist attractions. Would recommend a visit.

Visiting the Lake District was on my wife's bucket list. We looked for a hotel where we would be comfortable staying and could offer dining in the evening. The Villa Levens met all our expectations and more. The building and grounds are beautiful and we were very happy with our room. The staff at reception and dining were extremely friendly and it is lovely to be served at breakfast with a good selection. We dined in the restaurant twice and enjoyed our meal. Situated just off the M6, we were able to plan our visits and have a relaxing evening at the Villa Levens. Definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed at in the UK. Will definitely my place to stay if I am ever in the area again. Trevor and Dorette

Beautiful location with friendly staff and an excellent restaurant. The rooms however are poor for the 4 star prices charged. Our room had an issue with hot water and there was no drainage in the shower leaving it to overflow. On our last day of our 3 day stay we were allowed to use another room for a shower. Once again hot water was on and off and the tap fell off in my hand. Both rooms had stained carpet with dead insects in the window sills.

My child went for prom this year, and was pre-warned by a family member that the food was not the best and advised against eating it, and this warning was proved to be correct! When she arrived, the road up was not the best in the car they arrived in and she was very disappointed as we have spent lots on prom this year as it is a big deal. All in all, it was NOT a good experience, and she might have well not have gone. The venue looks very nice though.

Stayed for 3 nights in a dog-friendly room with my labrador. Very relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Dined in the restaurant one evening and had breakfast each morning - delicious. Woke up on 2 of the mornings to find wild deer on the grass right outside of the hotel and sat and watched them with a coffee and pastries from the cosy snug room. Definitely recommend a walk over to Levens Hall and deer park - takes about an hour and a half starting and ending at the hotel. Windemere is easily accessible - only a 15 minute drive. Overall a fabulous solo break, couldn't recommend more.

Having driven past The Villa several times when visiting family in Cumbria. We decided to call for morning coffee. Upon arrival we were shown to a warm cosy beautifully decorated room with comfortable sofas and chairs with a lovely view. We ordered 4 coffees which were brought to us and had planned to move on for lunch somewhere later in the day. However, after perusing the extensive a la carte and set menu we decided to stay for lunch. Best decision ever, after relaxing with our coffees, we were shown to a lovely table in the dining room and after being very spoilt for choice had the most beautiful lunch. The food was piping hot, cooked & seasoned to perfection. Presentation was excellent, the staff very welcoming, friendly and obliging. The hotel and facilities immaculate. We look forward to returning to The Villa next time we are in Cumbria and highly recommend a visit.
