Sheen Falls Lodge

This is our ‘boomerang’ hotel. We keep going back. And for good reason; it is pretty much close to perfect. Great staff , great food, and a marvellous location, beside a picturesque stream with falls and a bridge dating to the 1770 ‘s. This time we discovered lovely walks around the bay on the way into Kenmare.

100% 5 star stay. The grounds are beautiful and the treatment on arrival was superb- from our welcome drink, to the history of the Hotel and to be shown to our room. Top Class! The food in the stables was fab and the breakfast was delicious the following morning. The pool area was very nice and relaxing. I was expecting an outdoor hot tub for a 5 star but over all it was amazing. Will be back again in the near future!

I had a lovely stay in the Sheen Falls Lodge from the moment I arrived I felt welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, a home away from home. My room was very comfortable with beautiful views. I loved the sofas and open fireplaces around the hotel. The food was delicious especially dinner in the Falls restaurant. Many thanks to Brien who organised a man to fix the puncture in my tyre at a reasonable cost, much appreciated.

We recently stayed here in the Estate Room for 3 nights. The hotel is set across the bay from the beautiful town of Kenmare. It is a short bicycle ride or drive to Kenmare. We got there and were immediately escorted to our room. The room had an incredible view of the Sheen River falls. It had just rained and the amount of water was awesome to watch. We could not have been more pleased with the room and the service of this hotel. We ate in the Falls restaurant and the service and food were incredible. We also ate in the Stables and while not as fancy as the Falls, it had great food. Room service for breakfast was prompt and tasty. I can not recommend this hotel enough if you are in the Kenmare area. The hotel is right on Ring of Kerry also. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about this lovely property and would have to strongly disagree with anyone who gives an unfavorable review which I am sure are isolated incidents or rare unfortunate situations. Everything was fabulous! From the gorgeous grounds and property, charming, cozy,huge and clean rooms, great calming décor and atmosphere throughout hotel, friendly,kind and accommodating staff, delicious food, good service, lovely piano music during dinner, and unbelievable views of the falls and Kenmare Bay. Have I convinced you yet? We stayed 2 nights and hired a driver, arranged through the hotel, to drive us around the Ring of Kerry so we could enjoy the scenery and not have to worry about driving. He knew all of the key places to stop but I would advise that you should be knowledgeable about where you want to stop just to be on the safe side. We went horseback riding on property and the 2 women who were running the stables were great. It was my birthday while we were there and the staff recognized this by giving us a great table by the falls, complimentary prosecco for all at our table and a beautiful dessert with the plate decorated with "Happy Birthday". I have stayed in many beautiful hotels and am pretty fussy and particular about what I like and Sheen Falls Lodge fit the bill for me in every way. You MUST stay here!

We had a fine stay in Sheen Falls Lodge and delighted with every detail. Our room was spacious and inviting with a relaxing area to sit and look at the river and falls outside our room and the bed was very comfortable for a good night's rest. Kenmare is a great central location for touring the many nearby sights. Our dinner and breakfast were delicious! The views around the lodge are quite stunning.
