Treghan Luxury Lodge

A great place to relax, we had our rown terrace and garden. It is such a beautiful setting with all the flowers and trees. The lodge is very well maintained and decorated with a lot of space. The owners did everything to make us feel like home and helped us with our tour bookings. On arrival we found a lovely breakfast basket with fresh fruits and delicious bread.

Fabulous hosts and a beautifully presented property with a lovely garden and outlook - very quiet and private. Accommodation is generously sized, clean and well appointed with a comfy bed and great breakfast provisions to wake up to. A perfect place to relax with easy access to enjoy Kerikeri and surrounds.

The unit is beautifully furnished and the owners have thought of everything. Breakfast supplies were perfect and the fruit basket I ordered was amazing. We loved it as a base to see the north of the North Island and we’re only sorry we couldn’t stay longer.

Very relaxing stay with beautiful private garden, run by wonderful hosts. Experience included in-room grazing platter for breakfast / lunch and catered dinners delivered to the room each night, which were outstanding (and very large food portions). Booked the Owners 'Bungalow', which was not a detached structure as we imagined, but very nice and cozy lower level of a house nonetheless. Outdoor deck facing the garden could have used some umbrellas / shade structures as the afternoon sun was quite intense. Property has a great location on the fringes of Kerikeri for exploring further afield. Small on-site art gallery representing local artists was very interesting and adds to the uniqueness of this property. Would definitely go back again.

We stayed at this property for five nights to explore Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands. We had a rental car and with that the location was a good "home base" to make day trips from there. We were in one of the bungalows/small homes with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. There is also a covered carport attached to the building. The accomodation was new, clean, off the main road going into Kerikeri and surrounded by greenery. Breakfast provisions included granola, milk, yoghurt, bread, butter, marmelade and a fruit basket - "the provisions" and the towels etc were replenished after two or three days. In the kitchen, all the tools and machinery was available for us to prepare our breakfast, including a hot water kettle, an espresso maker, and a dishwasher. All in all a wonderful location but we made the assumption of the lodge being a typical B&B where breakfast is prepared for you and you do not have to make it yourself. Also, be aware, there is not much space for manoeuvering the car to park it in the carport, which may be an issue when you have a large SUV or small truck. To conclude: Infrastructure comes close to being five star; given it is more a DIY for breakfast, I rate it as a four.
