Corfu Mare Hotel -Adults Only

Comfortable and clean rooms. The staff were kind and helpful. They helped us book a boat for a day and a taxi. The breakfast was varied and fresh.

Another fantastic holiday at the lovely Corfu Mare Hotel. This was our fifth time here and one of the primary reasons for going back is the wonderful staff who greet us like family when we arrive, look after us so amazingly well and are truly sad when we leave, as we were ! The hotel has undergone a major refurbishment over the winter and is looking fantastic. Breakfast was excellent as usual with Stravrola and her team in the kitchen providing superb food. As usual the service provided by Vasilis, Olga, Eleni and Marina in the bar and restaurant was truly wonderful with recently joined Pinot providing great support to them all. The reception team of Olga and Christina are both excellent as is the manager Helena. We also enjoyed some lovely dinner meals out on the poolside terrace and enjoyed the Greek dancing one evening. As we have mentioned before in previous reviews the hotel location is a bit out of the main old town and it’s a good 35 minute walk each way to get to the the centre and back but there are plentiful taxis available charging between €10 and €15 euros for the journey. The cleaners keep the rooms and public areas spotless and the maintenance man/night porter all do a great job. Thanks to all for another amazing week at one of our favourite hotels. It’s clear by the number of returning guests we meet each year that many people share our views.

We were booked there for a week. Sadly while I was there my brother passed away. The staff were kindness itself, so kind and empathetic. The travel company weren’t useful but the reception staff went above and beyond. For the few days we were there I have to say the place was spotless, the food was good. The baklava the best I’ve ever tasted! A little far from the city centre but had we been there longer I’m sure it would have been sorted. Taxi €10 from the old town. Many thanks to the staff on reception for your kindness on my short stay, you were so kind.

I always write reviews honestly and are based purely on my personal experience. Good points of this hotel… Comfortable bed and pillows Polite staff Spotlessly clean Food in restaurant delicious Mini bar Air conditioning Nice size balcony Lovely decor Free safe in room Free toiletries Robe & Slippers Bad points… Lack of information regarding transport to Corfu town, external amenities etc …only given if you ask. 30 min at least walk to Corfu town in blistering heat. Taxi fares varied between €12 -15 euros depending on mood of the driver. Restaurant prices very very expensive as is all of Corfu. Bar very expensive Over enthusiastic room cleaner, so unnecessary to change every towel every day. Also coming into the room when we were still in bed which was embarrassing. Photos of this hotel and grounds were very exaggerated on TUI page. Due to the hotel being in a residential area, there were two dogs that barked consistently day and night, strimmers being used excessively so little peace in our room unless we went out for the day. Tips… kiosk at bottom of the hill for essentials but limited choice. Bottom of the hill and turn right then 5 min walk is a great Indian restaurant. Take mosquito repellent with you. Take plenty money as it’s an expensive island

I only stayed 1 night after getting in from a late flight but I was very comfortable here. The staff were very friendly and helpful with everything I needed even allowing me to stay in the restaurant and getting me coffee and pastries until it was time for me to go to the port. They even arranged a taxi to help me get there. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again in the future.

stayed here with my partner after getting Ferry over from Albania. Rooms were fine, long walk into town. Great parking at the hotel, they also provide taxis. The restaurant was absolutely 10/10, i had an amazing huge steak. ncie and quiet pool area
