I stayed here from 6th to the 18th October. The greatest points are the attentive nature of all the staff. Every single one of them knew exactly what we wanted within a couple of days and if they didnt they very quickly accommodated you. As we were late arriving i assumed we would be left a dry sandwich and a bottle of water, but no this has to have been one of the best ever late arrival feasts i have ever had. Another 5 star hotel with a very high rating doesnt even come close to what we had. Thank you for this small touch to start with The accommodation is very nice and clean, but i work in Interior fitout, loose tiles and poor tiling finishes grated on me as did the holes in the joinery that needed French polishing out and the protruding Pozi screws sticking out of the panelling. But that is me being professionally critical. The hotel is being extended / developed and it does appear that it will all be one at a later stage, very exciting to see what i could be in a couple of years time, maybe sooner, maybe the management could keep us updated ? Food: well i have seen some comments about food being cold. There is a microwave oven that can be used so if you dont use it and your food is cold its possibly your own fault. Certain Food that is kept warm for extended periods becomes unpalatable and a quick zap in the MW is usually the best way to address this whether its 5 Star or a dark night. The food presented was very good, with a plentiful choice of fish, meat, and the vegetables ........ o my the potatoes were flavoured with different herbs and spices differing every night, that was something to look forward to and will get me thinking in the kitchen. The variation of carrots and beans also were amazing Critical comment though, dont make curry with bones in! I know i have said i am in Interior works but if your doing curry, bone the thighs, open them up, marinade them, burn (grill) them and then leave to cook for a few hours. Little bones needed to be looked out for. Desserts : I do like the sugary sponge and mousse desserts and some reading this will wonder what i am on but i do often like a savoury dessert. We had cheese (very nice cheeses too) we had wine but heavens no biscuits. Bread doesnt have the same appeal. The Facilities are ok, shall we say the sea is warmer than the pools, the outside bars and restaurants are much better than your average AI with the outside Restaurant serving incredibly large portions that in my opinion should be half. Great if you missed breakfast, i,m no lightweight and did put on 2 kg in the time there, time to diet again. The reception bar is nicely stocked but the furniture has like a gold leaf that is flaking and can be abrasive / sharp, nice seating area that is shaded in the morning, though for a coffee its super spot.
