The Royal Hotel

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrive, we were suppose to choose between twin room or double room and there is no double room available and we were in advance. Then in the room, no shampoo, no soap, the AC was not working well and made a terrible noise even on sleep mode. An old elevator always busy so we had to carry our suitcases ourselves to the 2nd floor. They said a parking was available for the customers but it was full so we had to go park somewhere else. The food especially for breakfast was not good. The tea bags in the room were already open. And the cups were not cleaned (I let you observe the pictures). Apart from the bed being comfortable (but separated from my partner)and the view there was nothing that we have appreciated. Though, It’s not far from Corfu town by car about 15 minutes.

L’hôtel royal se situe face a la piste d’atterrissage de l’aéroport, cependant cela n’a eu aucun impact sur notre nuit. Personnel accueillant , le buffet du petit déjeuner est correct

Only nice thing was the location. I was with other people, got stuck in the elevator twice, had eggshells in their food, old bandaids stuck on bunk beds, stains on the bedsheets, creaky doors and bathrooms were flooded and not draining after a day. Asked for bedsheets and towel changes and they didnt change our sheets and just took the towels and gave us new ones after 2 days. Ridiculous service and quality, only nice staff were the receptionists.

Came out Corfu 2 weeks ago stayed at a different hotel but wanted to try this hotel perfect for ur plane spotting I had a room right in view of the runway and it was great I was hoping to have a view of the runway the check in was easy as I landed quite late the hotel itself was lovely the lift is an old lift but easy to use I had the second floor the room was a good size and the air con worked great!!! The bathroom was small but the shower didn’t have very hot water and it’s flooded the bathroom The bed was really comfy but the pillows were a little lumpy lovely sitting on the balcony the pool is set across the road and in full sun as well however the first pool wasn’t exactly full and no way to get into no steps or anything needs more water the second pool was ok bit dirty doesn’t look like it gets cleaned plenty of sunloungers with proper cushion to sit on which was nice it does get very loud when the planes take off though there is a games room for kids but not air con certainly wouldn’t recommend the hotel for young kids as no baby pool there is a restaurant at the top u mention ur room number and u get 10% off ur meal I had a meal there and it was nice there’s all a restaurant at the top of the hill called George’s which was simple but nice Breakfast was ok nothing great but plenty of seating the usual hot and cold for food tea/coffee etc staff very helpful n friendly the hotel can arrange a taxi to the airport but costs €25 which is a bit steep but never mind Overall would I recommend the hotel yes for the plane spotting and views of the runway the hotel is near the bus stop for trips to the town and there’s a mini market near the George’s restaurant
