Tara Farm

There were six of us (3 couples) staying at Tara Farms in August for 2 nights Anne gave us the option to stay in the house next to her primary BnB property. We are so glad we did. It was very modern, spacious and had a patio to enjoy the beautiful views. It was nice to have our own space, and also be able to delight in the amazing breakfast offered. Not only did she provide fruits, breads, cereals and yogurts; but she made a tasty breakfast to order. Boy, was that a treat. The place was very reasonably prices and the location was so great. It was in the countryside, but close enough to take a beautiful walk to the Kenmare. The perfect location. Anne was very helpful with helping us pick out a restaurant and even called the restaurant to make a reservation for us. The only thing we wish we had done was to stay at Tara Farms at least one more day. There were so many sights to see and things to do in the area. We'll just have to come back! We highly recommend Tara Farms!

My family enjoyed staying at Tara Farm for 4 nights. The inn has lovely views from the breakfast room, the back patio, and from most of the rooms. The rooms were comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable. The innkeeper Anne is welcoming and lovely. Breakfast was very good with a choice of eggs and bacon, eggs and salmon, or pancakes, plus fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, cereals, and more. Town is walkable from the inn, and Kenmare is a great town. We enjoyed the live music everywhere. Walking the neighborhood near the inn was also lovely. We too left an iPad behind, and Anne also sent ours on to our next destination. Great service!

Read the negative reviews. We booked in January for a stay in late May and received an email confirmation of the booking including the specific room we requested. The owner contacted us the day before our arrival to say she no longer had the room we asked for and offered to downgrade us the least desirable room or move us to another B&B. We initially accepted unsure we would be able to find other accommodations, and after reading all reviews on Tripadvisor, discovered that this is a pattern of behavior by this B&B. We did find alternative arrangements and cancelled our booking with Tara Farms altogether. We ended up quite happy with our stay at Kenmare Bay Hotel.

We stayed at the estuary at Tara Farms in Kenmare. The views are beautiful and the B&B is lovely. It was very clean and perfectly maintained, everything looked fresh and new. There was plenty of space, a kitchen and W/D. There was seating outside to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery. It’s a short walk down the road to the town past beautiful homes and cows and chickens. There are shops, pubs, restaurants and grocer’s all within walking distance. I highly recommend Tara Farms, you will not be disappointed.

I wish I could give more than five stars! We stayed with Anne ten years ago and loved it, so when we discovered our grandson was going to be in Ireland, we knew we had to take him there, as well. The view from our room was breathtaking, and we felt like we were in heaven when we got up in the morning! Anne’s hospitality (and the great breakfast!) make you want to stay forever! This was our grandson’s first B & B, and he promised that he would definitely come back to see Anne, and stay again! When you leave, you feel like you are leaving as family. Anne is so helpful with anything you need, whether it be recommendations for dinner, a cold beverage, or a vacuum for your vacuum sealed bags! Hope to not wait for ten years before our next visit!

We stayed at Seascape Lodge. This belongs to Tara Farm B&B. Because our booked B&B made a mistake. What a beautyfull surprise for us. We loved this Villa and its fantastic vieuws. And..Nice breakfast at Tara Farm. It was super....thnkx to owner Anne and staff.
