Returning for the second time, we stayed for two nights and had the most wonderful weekend. The hostess was very friendly and the room / amenities were second to none along with a wonderful home cooked breakfast in the mornings. The b&b is perfectly located, only a short walk from town and other tourist spots. We had a lovely stay and look forward to more cosy stays at the Burnside B&B in the future.

My husband booked this trip as a treat and planned everything- and one of the best things on the trip was staying here! It was lovely, quintessential, wholesome & very clean! Sharon was very welcoming, friendly and kind! Happy to offer directions and recommendations for walks/ things to do and restaurants. If you love William Morris decor like me you will be very happy! The breakfast was 10/10 amazing and delicious! Sets you up for a day of exploring! Sharons homemade marmalade/Jam is also something not to be missed!!! ❤️ It’s a short 15 walk into town and we would recommend getting a gelato from Casa Bella on the way back home In the evening would 100% stay again! We had a great stay at Burnside, we were greated by Sharon, who was warm friendly and very welcoming. Our room was cosy, warm and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and we slept like logs. There was a variety of choice for homemade, locally sourced breakfast and it all was really delicious. We will definitely be visiting again. 😊

My wife and I stayed here for three nights at the end of December. As soon as we walked through the door we were made to feel incredibly welcome by our host Sharon, she really couldn’t have been more helpful. She was knowledgeable about the local area and recommended a variety of different walks and restaurants that we might like - handy if you’re a first time visitor to the area. The room we stayed in was situated on the second floor, it was spacious, warm and very clean indeed. We preordered our breakfast the day before and each morning we were welcomed into the dining room with a roaring log fire, a hearty breakfast and a warm smile. The B&B was situated less then a mile from the town centre which we accessed by walking along the old railway line which is now an amazing footpath that crosses the river as it meanders into the town. We really did enjoy our stay here and we would recommend it unreservedly.

Fantastic B&B, clean and well kept, amazing hosts, wonderful breakfast, such a warm welcoming place. The host even went out of her way to bake a ginger cake for the 6 of us motorbike lad's. Best cake we have ever had! So helpful on planning routes and where to eat and drink. Will definitely be revisiting again.

We received a very walk welcome from Sharon in a beautifully decorated and spotless home. Felt like we were in a ‘suite’ in room 2! Everything we could possibly need was provided. Lots of breakfast choice, all freshly cooked and delicious. Parking across the road; about 20 minute walk into town. Will definitely return.

– Firstly, such a warm welcome from Sharon the owner. We stayed in room2 which had a lovely bay window, sofa and was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean. The little touches like toiletries, heated towel rail , tea & coffee making accessories. The cooked breakfast was first class & Sharon's homemade jams were delicious. My favourite was the porridge, Sharon made it just the way I like it. The location was about 1 mile walk into the town of Keswick. Just nice to walk off your breakfast or walking back after your evening meal. Last but not least & most important, The Bed!!! Sooooooooo Comfortable with lovely cotton crisp white bedding. Snoozzzzzzzzz..... Thanks Sharon for such a wonderful stay. Karen & Paul.

A fantastic place to stay in the lakes. Sharon made us feel really welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a lovely view ! Lovely breakfast and they cater for vegeterians too... Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the lakes.

Excellent bnb with a lovely friendly host who is a font of knowledge and works tirelessly to ensure all the guest have a fantastic stay, we stayed in the twin room, (second bed was a pull out sofa bed, which i was made aware of before booking) the room was excellent lovely both beds super comfy and the well stocked tea tray was a lovely little extra touch. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty along with Sharon's homemade jams and marmalade again another nice extra touch. We are keen walkers so the location and walk into Keswick wasn't a problem for us it took about 20mins along the old railway past the swimming baths and then down in to keswick. We would highly recommend it and definitely stay if we're in the area again .
