My visit was average. Front desk person (AA male evening shift) was very pleasant. My room was okay however my sister's room was unpleasantly odorous with an unexpected portable humidifier in the room. We enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the waitress was very nice. The wedding food was just okay. The hotel needs to definitely upgrade overall.

Needs some love
Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so we left our number and waited for them to call but the call never came. We finally went back and discovered that the new shift didn't have our phone number.
It's never a good sign when the first thing you see in the bathroom is a plunger. The toilet was stained, the tub had mold and the sink didn't drain properly. The toilet paper holder had been installed improperly so we had to take the toilet paper out of the holder to be able to use it. The refrigerator worked great but really needed to be propped up since it was missing one leg and tipped every time you opened it. Some of the plugs didn't work so we had to plug things in at the bathroom sink. The AC worked great and the bed was comfortable.
The restaurant was great as was the service there, so that helped a lot. The location is also very convenient.
So overall, it was adequate but really needs some maintenance.

Had AC issues with the room at check-in. Staff worked hard to accommodate a relocation. Required to change rooms several times during the stay.

The property is in need of updating. The furniture is dirty and old, and the carpet is also. The bed was not comfortable at all. It is a great location but not in good condition.

Resort is somewhat out dated, but they keep it looking presentable. My major issue with this resort is first, we asked twice for room service to be performed during our stay. Never happened! Then after the 3 day we all started to get sick. And got worse theb longer we stayed in room. We left a day earlier then planned, causr we all were getting worse. After we got home, and sleep that night, they next day, started feeling better, abs the next day as well. I turuly believe the A/C

Room 108 is horribly in need of updates, maintenance & a deep cleaning. We have stayed at the Sea Ranch Resort several times over the last 15 years, and loved it. Not this time! The room reeked of mold, particularly when the AC turned on. Made our eyes and throats itch, which subsided while out on the beach, but resumed after returning to the room. Realized AC issues are the likely culprit. The fan would run, but compressor only ran sometimes. Unit turns off & back on seconds later. Everything in the room, including bed linens & furniture felt wet. Socks were WET after walking on carpet! Never experienced this in other rooms at this resort, not even oceanfront rooms. Staff said TV was equipped with 2014 DirecTV box, stuck on 1 channel for 2 days. After the last maintenance visit, the tv wouldn't work at all. We just gave up! The bathroom door got stuck when closed, needing someone on the outside to help get it open. (Super easy to fix) The condition of the bathroom was the grossest part of the stay. The caulk around the bath tub was riddled with mold/mildew, and the once tan grout (visible in low traffic areas) is now black where people walk. And yes,it did come off. Tile needs steam cleaning. Sheets & towels were clean, and bed comfortable but our stay was very disappointing, nothing like our other visits to this facility. Realizing multiple repairs (including AC) were needed, we tried to move to another hotel, but no vacancies found at facilities that might be cleaner

No AC in the room
The only good thing about this place is the location on the beach and the coffee. Our room window AC unit did not get cool enough to cool the room down at all. Maintenance checked on it and said there was nothing they could do and they gave us a box fan for our entire stay. It was awful and uncomfortable. It took 2 hrs to figure out the Harry Potter wizard spell between the two remote controls for the TV to actually work. I would not recommend staying here unless you like sleeping in a sauna

Room and appliances could have been cleaned a little better. Our balcony was right near the back steps to the porch - there constantly were people passing by and hosing off their feet/items right by us which made it a little uncomfortable. The natural gas exhaust was also right by our balcony which limited us from sitting and enjoy time on the balcony. The pool had standing water around the sides with green slime forming, some kind of drainage needs to be put in to eliminate the standing water.
