Wish I could say something positive about this hotel....but there wasn't anything good about it. I have been in the military for 30 plus years and have stayed in almost every nasty place imaginable. I would rather sleep in my car than stay here (and pay for it) again. As soon as you pull up you know it's not gonna be good. Broken down autos sit baking in the sun out in the small parking lot. An encampment of homeless stare at you from the shadows under the stairs. Trash and debris are strewn everywhere. You walk in the dirty, cluttered hotel office and the overpowering smell of curry hits you immediately. The manager eventually emerges from the back recesses and tells you the room (mini-suite) you reserved on-line with Wyndham isn't clean yet (it's 5:30) and he is going to give you another room....it's not the suite. So you park next to the room he gave you. A caravan of homeless transients are parked next to you. They are being evicted and load, reload, and strap various junk to their car the entire night. Your room is filthy. Almost everything in the room is broken. The mini-refrigerator is filthy, and the freezer compartment hasn't been defrosted for ages. You try to sleep, but can't because you hear the homeless group outside getting more angry about being evicted....you worry if they will trash your car. This is the reality of our short stay in Kingman. Don't repeat our mistake, this street is lined with hotels, and any of them would have been better than this decrepit Travelodge.
