Premier Inn used to be my "go to" for hotel stays. but they are now my last resort. They have increased the charges dramatically and reduced the quality dramatically at the same time. - Rooms are stifling with inadequate ventilation. I had to leave my window open and was bitten badly by insects during the night as a direct result. - Beds which used to be king size are now doubles (and even the bedside cabinets are out of reach as a direct result). Two adults of even slightly large size simply do not get a comfortable nights sleep in a double bed, disturbing each other with every movement. Premier Inn policy to change them (which includes two other Premier Inns I have stayed at this year) is the main reason why I will NOT be booking to stay with them again.. and I stay at hotels about 60 times a year. - breakfast plates have been reduced in size, causing even a normal size breakfast to fall off them, or be piled up forcing the items to all mix in together. - In my room (217) the desk was so wobbly we were scared to touch it in case it collapsed - we reported this but nothing was done during our 2-day stay to fix it, just a comment that "yeah, there's several like that that need to be fixed" - doh! do something about it then!... I discovered on speaking to other guests (room 101) that they had similar in their room. - in my sons room (222) the sink drainage was blocked and when reported was told, oh it just needs the plug turned on its side. NO, it is blocked and will not drain - so fix it!!

Stayed for 1 night as had a friend visiting the area and we both managed to get a good deal. Room was on the 2nd floor and was clean and tidy. The standing fan was appreciated as it was a very warm evening! Bed was very comfortable. Check in was quick and efficient. Will no doubt stay again in the near future.

After initially being given a noisy room on the stairwell we were immediately moved at our request ,.. Sadly we were given a much smaller room which had 2 rather disgustingly stained chairs in it ... The room we were given was still a double room but much much smaller than the room we would normally be used to in a Premier Inn ... plus it was in probably the furthest place possible away from reception and took for what seemed like an age to get to and from .. I must say though the lady that received us into the Premier was lovely and it really wasn't her fault regarding the size and state of the furniture ...but Premier normally are better and should not have dirty furniture in their rooms ..

Checked in for two nights and went to our room. The temperature gauge read as 24°. I understand completely now that there is no air conditioning at this hotel but that being said, the fan provided by Premier Inn was not enough to cool the room down and was just blowing hot air around. We thought still in April, it wouldn’t be as hot as it was. The room was not cleaned that well either and the attention to detail was lacking. In our disgust, we knew this as we found a few items and a dirty mug from the previous guests!! Unfortunately, we had the worst night sleep ever at this premises due to the heat that we decided to check out and spend more money to go to another local hotel. The Reception Team member was really helpful and helped in reimbursing the second night for us (thank you to him - no name badge but he looked to be within management). The main reason for my review is the lack of professionalism shown from two members of the Housekeeper Team stood in Reception whilst overhearing my complaint. One jokingly said “oh no, no air conditioning, no bar!”, maybe spend your time being more thorough within the hotel rooms, rather than listening in to things that do not concern you. After the refund was actioned, we headed to the car park, got in the car and had our windows down, we were a few spaces down from the entrance to the hotel. All we could hear was the housekeepers in question and said “manager” discussing this complaint, which can I add is fine but one housekeeper was that loud mouthed that we heard everything that was said and felt like they were being judgemental when they probably have never slept there to know!! Also smoking out the front whilst in uniform looks to be unprofessional. Make sure to take these things into consideration when booking this establishment.

We had a lovely few days here, room was clean just a bit of mould in bathroom but that was ok, room came with a fan which was brilliant. The staff were extremely lovely and helpful. Would 100% stay again. 5 min walk is a few shops and a yummy bakery too.

We stayed here whilst visiting the Harry Potter studios which is just a 10-15 minute drive away. The hotel was pretty quiet and we got a great nights sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful on our visit. We used the restaurant for breakfast in the morning. Good selection of food and everything was cooked really well. There is a miller and carter steak house next door (not affiliated with the premier inn) if you don’t want to travel far for food but fancy something different. Would stay here again.
