The White House

This hotel is very attractively designed . We stayed 2 nights & the dinner we had was good, breakfasts were ok . What I would say after staying in one of the 2nd floor attic rooms is ask for another room if you can as those 2 rooms are small & stuffy and hot .We had the added problem of the kitchens extractor fan right outside our very small window we felt it was not good value for money . The rooms are not serviced which was surprising given the price we paid . The staff were very friendly although as we didn’t have a room fridge I asked for some fresh milk a number of times for the tea tray sadly I gave up in the end as there was none in the main bar area either . It’s nice but over priced and over rated .

We had a fabuous stay at the White House. Room 11 is spacious, well equipped and the bathroom is luxurious. It's located at a farm, with quaint and rural surroundings. The drive to Burnham Market is about 6 minutes, a little picturesque village where you find nice restaurants and shops.

Fantastic 5 days at The White House, rooms were lovely and everything you need for a good nights sleep. Food was fantastic. Loved the relaxed feel of the place. Went for a painting week, could not fault the tuition and facilities. Lovely part of the UK as well. Will definitely return next year

The White House is fabulous. Jonny and the team were so friendly and online check-in beforehand meant it had the feel of staying with friends rather than somewhere impersonal. The decor and setting are stunning; the food is delicious from breakfast to midweek suppers and a la carte dinner in the Acres Restaurant. The complementary homemade cake and cookies in the afternoons were a lovely treat. There is so much to see and do in the local area too. We were lucky to have some hot weather while staying but it did mean our bedroom (No.8) was rather warm overnight. That said, we can’t wait to come again!

The White House is a HIDDEN GEM…we love staying there….the staff are great…breakfast is delicous ….its such a relaxing hotel in the middle of the Countryside between Brancaster and Burnham Market…this time we had room 8 which sadly for us was far too small….next time we will book earlier.

Wonderful stay! Lovely comfortable beds and bedding. Immaculately clean. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Jonny made us feel very welcome upon our arrival. Room and bathroom were very spacious and had disabled access. Everywhere was decorated very tastefully and to an extremely high standard. Great location,friendly staff, very peaceful. I would highly recommend and cant wait return later in the year.

What a beautiful place to stay! Johnny and the team were so welcoming, the room was lovely, and the food was amazing. Thoroughly recommended for a stay in north Norfolk. Perfectly situated to visit all the wonders of the area. We will definitely be back!

We booked this for our Silver Wedding anniversary and in terms of welcome we might just as well stayed at a Travel Lodge - it was non-existent! We very quickly got the sense of feeling that this was all about maximizing the revenue from our stay -they charged for anything and everything, we had topay heavily for our own welcome drink and crisps. The dinner and breakfast were decent but nothing to write home about. The rooms for the inevitable overnight stay after a celebration dinner were expensive but again nothing deserving the price of £150-200/ night. There were not even USB charging plugs that are now usually standard in high class accomodation. The shower offerring was only a rain shower, no hand shower, and no hair covers in case you didn't want to wet your hair while showering. None of the usual room accessories were offered just large economy containers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The automatic blinds took an age to rise up and down while having to press the wall switch 5 metres away. The room thermostat seemed stuck at 21 degrees despite setting it at 19 degrees meaning our night was very hot & uncomfortable. The most hospitable service we got was from the Polish lady serving breakfast who was both friendly and accommodating. We will not be back and would definitely not recommend it for special occasions.

This is a wonderful place to escape to. On arrival we were greeted by the host and the shown around. The room was very comfortable, lovely bathroom, views over the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was first class and the evening meal delightful. I would go back to The White House without hesitation.
