First thing that came to mind was “wow this can’t be real”. We were absolutely shocked and speaking to other quests and after checking reviews we were not alone. Not old…antiquated out of date, unsafe, dirty and totally not value for the pricy tag we had to cough up for this sad property. Avoid using unless you’re desperate.

We stayed for 8 nights at this resort and found it very unsatisfactory! Absolutely no frills whatsoever. We had a three bed unit on the second floor & it really needed a bit of love. The third bedroom was like a study with sliding doors to the living area. This room had two single beds with one pushed up against the wardrobe ( we had wanted another queen bed). Everything was very basic with no soap to wash hands & a couple of teabags & coffee sachets, no milk even for your first day. Unfortunately it rained almost the whole time we were there so we did spend a lot of time actually in the unit. The lounges were old & worn & cleanliness left a bit to be desired. The location was the only plus as it is right on the shops & cafes. Although we did find some days there was not much choice as lots were closed on certain days despite it being school holidays. Needless to say we would not recommend this resort nor consider staying again ourselves.

Family booked mamy units for wedding. Units have very varied layouts, furnishings and equipment. Some rooms very old, rusty, broken outdoor furniture. Some rooms unclean upon checkin. Location is great but facilities and mamagement not up to pricepoint!

We selected this place based on Google reviews and it just didn’t come up to scratch. The sliding windows and doors don’t operate properly and are in need of maintenance and servicing. There is virtually no Internet and the TV won’t work without it. There is significant rot in the timber columns and handrails and the standard of cleaning in the unit we were in was poor. Grease left in pans and the range hood was filthy. While the staff tried their best they couldn’t get the internet and wifi to work and service tech never arrived when they said they would. The unit gave the impression that whoever owns it doesn’t care as long as it’s rented all the time. The unit design itself was poor and didn’t allow for breezes given we were right across the road from the beach. To stay cool, we had to keep the 2 split air conditioners going the 4 days we were there. Can’t imaging what it would be like in the middle of summer.

We stayed in unit 342. This is a 3 bedroom apartment. Absolute disgrace. Nothing like the photos posted for the 3 bedroom apartments. Carpet is worn a dirty, coaches had rips on them, walls were dirty with marks holes, mattress protector had a stain on it, air conditioner leaks, upstairs balcony had a small metal table which had a wasp nest in it, the list goes on. This place is in desperate need of a renovation. Not sure what the other units are like but a big tip, don’t stay in unit 342.

A little bit tired and slightly unclean. Kitchen cupboard doors, sliding doors and fridge needed a wipe down. Cobwebs on windows, blankets rolled up in spare room cupboard which had probably been used and never washed or folded. Pool not heated, spa not working, tiles missing around the pool. Very dark rooms. However, amazingly good location, great price and friendly staff!!!

Brilliant location, great sized apartment. Towels clean but rest of apartment very grotty ( dirty) dusty with grimy floors. Drawers and cupboards in kitchen were dirty. As this is holiday stay you are reliant on cleanliness of previous guests in regards to glasses, dishes and cutlery being clean, much of it was not. We washed all we needed to use prior to our own use. Unfortunately previous guests had filled fridge with seafood and whilst fridge was wiped out and looked clean on surface it reeked of seafood for entire week despite an attempt to clean out with products supplied by reception. Really the place need a deep clean. Reading other reviews from 2023 it seems cleanliness and wear and tear are big issue for most rooms at this resort.

I stayed here in 2022 October long weekend, and paid a premium rate for a rooftop spa room. On the day of check-in, our check-in continually got delayed til approx 5pm, and then when we finally got in, the rooftop spa was out of order. Despite that, we booked to stay again on the 2023 October long weekend. The reservation was made in June, but then in late July I was contacted to say the room was no longer available, and I had been moved to a holiday home they managed nearby. I reluctantly accepted. Now today, late August, I've been contacted again to say the holiday home is no longer available, and they've moved me to an apartment in Casuarina - a whole different town, about 6km away. The whole purpose of staying here was the location being walking distance to a function I am attending - not to be moved to a different town. Don't bother if you want reliable accommodation. Location is great, but they show no respect for honouring reservations, and clearly have no influence over the individual unit owners.

Paradiso is conveniently located right across Cudgen Surf Club where we were competing last week. The oceanview rooftop spa room (337) was nicely decorated with the rooftop being the crown jewel of the place, the view at sunset in that spa is unreallll! The manager Odi, three words: What A Woman! She was more than accommodating to the changes I made coming up to our booking and was extremely helpful with all our requests during our stay. She essentially runs the place on her own, definitely due for a pay rise! Another positive for our group was that you could choose the number of access keys to each apartment which was really helpful as we sometimes came and left at different times.

I had booked an Ocean view apartment with the rooftop spa for my 50th birthday with my family I was emailed four days before my arrival to say the owners needed to move back in for the weekend and that they were moving me to peppers which is not even in the vicinity of where I wanted to be located . They said they had tried to ring I was at work and when I rang back to explain I didn’t want to Bev moved the girl said that you have an upgrade I then tried to explain to her I don’t want to be in that vicinity as we wanted to be in walking distance of restaurants and cafés let’s say I was most upset and rightly so especially having to deal with this on my actual birthday ! You don’t just put someone in another location. You apologize and say you will do your upmost best to get accommodation where the guest has booked . The guest in this occasion has no rights !! I was offered no compensation or another room in the same hotel even though their were rooms available . They said They would get back to me. I waited until the next day in the afternoon, and I had to ring them, so let’s say the stress levels were high by then Not knowing if they could even offer me another place. When I rang, they did offer me of another place, which had a beautiful view, and was in the same street however it was very dirty !! tv didn’t work properly ,fan was so noisy we had no spa,pool or bath which we had booked in the other accommodation. I’ve worked in hospitality for many years and the way this was handled was very poor . Felicity .

I booked a room at last minute on Friday for Friday night I was charged $577 when questioned later was told it was $395 for room $99 booking fee $55.00 damage protection $20 parking fee still doesnt add to $577.00. The room was average, bed linen dirty shutters dont close properly so couldnt lock room, the link they gave for wifi did not work. Couldnt contact reception as they closed at 4 and didnt reopen til 10 next day. Wont ever stay again. Lots of nicer places for less money and friendly service.

Upon arrival the floor had to be swept due to dust and rubbish. All the crockery and cutlery was dirty. Cups stained. One sink plug to share between 2 bathrooms, laundry tup and kitchen sink. Laminate falling off cupboards. Appliances out of date for test n tag although fixed items have a longer date but all tags in the room had an expiry date of 2022. Damaged lead in bedroom. We went to reception the following morning to discuss our findings and she was extremely apologetic and embarrassed. She asked me to send photos and grievances to a mobile number she supplied. We did this on Saturday morning 15th April and no response yet. Definitely would not recommend. Looking at other feedback, we are not alone with our views.

Booked into this unit looking forward to a lovely family holiday, unfortunately the unit did not live up tot he hype I have recently been told. Firstly the car park was extra, this was not advised at the time of booking.. then the unit itself was dirty, dark and musty smelling. For a unit that we paid a decent amount for i expected a clean place to stay. The pool an spa were smelly and looked disgusting, my family love water an the fact we did not utilise this facility speaks volumes. The roof top whilst sounds lovely, it is not what its cracked up to be, some narrow spiralling stairs to a concrete roof with nothing... awesome NOT! Our whole family agrees whilst the location is great, we would not be staying here again as it was a very big let down and felt like a waste of money when we could have stayed at our usual for half the amount and much nicer cleaner and friendlier environment.

Tired and dated resort, spa doesn't work needs a good clean including the units. Good location shame that the complex is not looked after better. Rooms dusty, kitchen bench and other surfaces could see the dust lying on them Don't provide parking but charge extra for this- bit of a rip off...
