RafJam Bed & Breakfast

What a wonderful hidden peaceful haven of nature and tranquility in the most stunning setting. We stopped by Rafjam in a walk from Irish Town. We only stayed for a look around and a quick drink but were welcomed so warmly by Shaun and Susan who have clearly created the most unique and stylish accommodation. We were given a tour of the rooms and facilities and we are highly impressed. Rafjam will be top of our places to stay on our next visit and we will be booking the ‘Cave Room’. The cabins are set in beautiful lush greenery. A river runs through the property and forms multiple natural pools and mini waterfalls. The air is clean and cripsy. The clouds provide a beautiful canopy to this paradise. Perfect getaway for mind and body soul cleansing.

I visited this beautiful place with my partner on the weekend for his birthday getaway. Let me tell you, we got lost! The residents of the Redlight District were very lovely and kind people who turned us around and when we got there we were treated with the same kindness and we had an AMAZING time! The food was great, the staff treated us like family we had good conversations and the environment gave us the perfect reset! Need less to say, we checked out late and never wanted to leave. Beautiful property, great experience! We will be back!

Rafjam is an oasis. The terrain to get there is daunting (but don't worry, they provide shuttle if you, like myself, don't do daunting terrain) however, when my friends and I arrived at the spot, it was so worth it. Indeed the villa's location adds to the mystique, the privacy, the rustic nature. There are multiple rivers on the property, a gorgeous waterfall nearby (we had tremendous fun there). We were enveloped by the sounds of nature, greenery and rivers for our entire weekend. There are also great hiking paths nearby and my friends and I hiked to a river. The trail was so beautiful we couldn't stop making pics. The rooms are another delight, you can stay on the main house or off the main house in a cottage or theme designed villas. Some of the cottages are built around huge slabs of rock which just makes them more rustic and engaging. The proprietor, Sue, goes all out to ensure you have an experience like none other. From ensuring the rooms are tip top, meals are tasty and hot, she partied with my friends and I (it was my birthday weekend) and even acted as a tour guide for our hike to the river. She knew it was my birthday weekend and she went all out to make it memorable for me, family and friends. She went above and beyond. To know her is to love her. If you love nature, this is a must see nestled in the hills of St. Andrew Jamaica, not too far from the city but far enough to stumble upon another world, a nature's paradise! We loved it!!!!

Driving down a tropical lane for 5 minutes I arrived to a warm welcome. My room had a king size bed. Very comfortable with new pillows. The bathroom had a powerful shower. I had a wooden balcony too, with seating and hammock. (Hammock was well used by me) The view was fabulous. Tropical gardens with a small waterfall at one end gently tumbling through the garden with a pool for dipping in or swimming. All around the property you are surrounded by steep vegetation leading up to a ridge. THE HIDDEN VALLY. In the morning the sun comes over and the pool glitters with diamonds.Perfect for sunbathing or meditation. Around the extensive grounds you can find a quiet spot to sit and day dream. The restaurant bar area is lovely. You can sit in the shade listening to reggae whilst the excellent Chef chats with you about how he wishes to prepare your meal just how you like it. My breakfasts and Dinners were lovely. Well presented and delicious. The bar has an extensive selection. You can serve yourself too. Outside through the door a large balcony overlooking Paradise with ample seating and sun shades. Great for a morning coffee or a drink before dinner. Inside the building love and attention is the vibe. You feel comfortable and relaxed. The host Suzanne is a true professional. Always positive. Nothing too much trouble. Always checking I was happy. Being the only customer on a few days of my 8 day stay I was lucky to have Paradise to myself. All the staff chatted with me and ensured I was having a great time. They gave me advice and info on the local area. My holiday to jamaica was meant to be by a river with a rasta fir 16 days. Sadly he died in a tragic accident. I was quite down and upset. My holiday in tatters and my friend gone. Rafjams turned it all around. Within a day of arrival I was relaxed and content. Sitting in the garden my tropical dream restarted. Everyone at Rafjams is lovely. Leaving I was given a warm send off with hugs and smiles. I saw my first Humming bird by the stream. It was like sering my first dolphin or whale. Truly Paradise ❤️
