The Blue Haven Hotel

The photos on their website and the descriptions of their rooms reach the level of fraudulent. For example, here is their description of their Superior King: "Our Superior King room at the Blue Haven is just that – superior in every way. The elegance, simplicity, and style of the décor continue throughout and that feeling of luxury is achieved by the extra space and comforts of this delightful room". I booked and paid for a Superior King and it was so small there was no space to open the suitcases. The furniture was terrible, there were holes in the ceiling where they had moved a fixture years ago and never repaired.The room was small and shabby in every aspect. When I spoke to the manager his response was that they were full so he couldn't give me another room and he did not have the authority to adjust the price. Buyer beware!

The Blue Have is a cozy hotel with friendly staff and excellent food. It is located in the center of Kinsale and the music in the evening was very enjoyable. Ideal for couples looking for a relaxing or romantic getaway. Plenty of places to visit in the area such as the Old Head of Kinsale and Timoleague.

Fantastic welcome, service and hospitality over our weekend stay 14-17 February for my birthday celebrations at the Blue Haven. We had a mixed group of guests as part of the booking including some local to Cork, from other parts of Ireland and a lot of people from the UK - 3 of whom were experiencing their first visit to Ireland, all really enjoyed it. Special mention to Marita Kelleher who was my co-ordinator plus all the housekeeping, reception, bar and restaurant staff teams who all who went out of their way to make our stay such an enjoyable experience. Relaxing in the lounges was a pleasure and the bar service, live music and restaurant meals were exceptional. We will be back ......

Spent 2 fantastic nights here, everyone was so friendly from the front desk to the bar staff and the room staff, would definitely recommend it to anyone who is travelling to West Cork. When we arrived we were greeted by very polite and friendly staff,

Ours was a non-resident Dining experience. From the moment we arrived to when we left, we felt valued. Agata and her colleague made us feel very welcome. The food was very well presented, hot food was hot, portion sizes perfect. And considering it was a Monday, tasteful live music was a lovely surprise. We’ll definitely be back!

For our first visit to this area in Ireland, we chose the Blue Haven Hotel mainly for it's location, cost and reviews. We had a superior double room and were more than happy with everything it had to offer. It was a great space and super clean with all the amenities you would ever need. The staff here are an absolute credit to the hotel, friendly, helpful and always smiling with a keen to serve attitude. The food was perfect and always served in good time with care. A generous breakfast and lovely pot of tea were the perfect way to start the day before setting off to discover the local walks. We both slept so well in the comfy bed even though you are on a busy street, there is noise from traffic and some evening banter, but that is expected being in such a good location for the town, it did not hamper our enjoyment at the blue haven during our stay. From the initial call to confirm we were all ok before arrival to our finishing chat with the wonderful Ines on reception, it had been a great choice to stay at the Blue Haven.
