Beautiful room bed and pillows were lovely great staff we will be back Platos is in the centre of town and is an ideal spot for exploring the surrounding area if you choose to stay at Platos you will not be disappointed good choice for breakfast

We found this place on TripAdvisor (thank you TA!) when we were looking for an overnight stop not too far from the M6. Kirkby Lonsdale is a lovely town with a great community feel to it. Playto’s is just one of the hotels here and it offers great value for money- rooms are well decorated and very clean. Plenty of variety for tea and coffee in the bedroom and high end soaps in the bathroom. All in all a sumptuous stay with a great team and a breakfast we couldn’t do justice to sadly. Lovely walks near by - would recommend a stay here.

Great place to stay with good food. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here when in Kirby Lonsdale. Good choice of food and drinks on menu. Rooms nice with great facilities. 3rd time staying here and will definitely return.

Very lovely room, friendly and attentive staff and the most delicious breakfast. I would definitely recommend the granola and compote. The restaurant was not open during my stay but the menu looked great. I would definitely recommend Plato's.

Great place. Room lovely, clean & tidy. Staff really helpful. We stayed an extra night and staff sorted all our luggage move etc, whilst we were out. Bar & restaurant have a very good atmosphere. Food was banging !! Great choices. Brilliant chef !!

Platos is a family run hotel located in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale. From the outside it looks classy and blends in with the surrounding buildings, so first impressions are great. Although there is no on-site parking the long stay car park is less than 5 minutes walk and the hotel provides a free parking permit. The bar and lounge areas provide a great ambiance with log fires giving a traditional cosy feel. We stayed in the superior room this stay which was very nice and we both had an excellent sleep. We never used the restaurant this time but the breakfast choice and produce were excellent. The not quite so full breakfast is a great choice, washed down with classic filtered coffee. Staff were friendly and very attentive which certainly adds to the experience.

This was our 3rd Christmas spending 4 days at Platos and definitely the best yet. The whole set up is lovely from arrival to departure. The friendly greeting, being shown our room, settling in. Such a lovely atmosphere. It is so well situated making it easy to enjoy the river walks , shopping in the lovely independent shops and to enjoy great food. The Christmas meal was something else. The canapés in the bar area beforehand created a happy, bubbly, buzz that lasted through the rest of the delicious meal. The portion sizes were good making it possible to enjoy every course and not flag part way through! Presentation was beautiful. Can't wait for the next visit

Well appointed, warm and comfortable, perfect location with great quality and variety of food and drink. All topped off by super-friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure every aspect of our break was catered for excellently. Happy to recommend and we will visit again!

We had a great stay at your hotel, with good food and very attentive staff. The position of the hotel is perfect to explore the area and the village. Parking is free presently in the village so we parked easily and reasonably close, but can’t comment on the Carpark that is usually reserved by the hotel. Highly recommended 👍
