Worst hotel in the world. Avoid this place at all cost
1. I was double charged for the destination fee even though I’ve paid for it through the app. The reception that addressed us was extremely adamant and aggressive on charging us when we came to clarify on this issue…On the first night we clarified with reception and the man that addressed it was confused and adamant on charging us until another lady came and whispered something to him. He then clarified and said it would be refunded back to us. The next night I checked my bank account and noticed another destination fee was charged for the second night even though once again we’ve already paid for it on the app. So I went and clarified with him again and he could not give a proper explanation, one moment he said the fee charged on the app was different and the next moment he said it’s the same destination fee. Yet, they still charged us twice. It seems that he is bad at his job and it felt like a hostile situation.
2. We had booked the free hotel shuttle to Magic Kingdom but the bus was at least 15minutes late and we decided to call an Uber. Soon after, the bus came and just as we were about to board and cancel our Uber, one of the staff outside gave us advise to take the Uber as the shuttle would be slower since it had to make a stop and we had to take the monorail whereas the Uber could just avoid all that hassle. So we took his advice and waited for our Uber to come but as it turns out the park did not allow the Uber to enter directly and because of that we had to make a big detour to stop at the same area as the shuttle which was already there and we had to get down to take the monorail…so essentially the hotel made us pay a $15 Uber for a slower ride when we could have gotten a free shuttle that would’ve saved us more time.
3. Small issue but this is the first hotel I’ve been to that didn’t provide any toothbrush or toothpaste. It was likely that we had to request for such basic amenities to be provided but at this point where the staff was already so hostile we decided to just use our own ones.
Overall, the service and attitude of the staff here have been consistently terrible. I do not know how this is under Marriot. In my opinion the front counter that addressed us should be fired based on his attitude and how poorly he handled the situation.
