Traditional lappish cabin, built in 1993, located in Ylläsjärvi village's Ahvenkangas area for those who seek peace and quiet on their holiday. The ground floor has one bedroom with a double bed. There are two bed sofas in the living room area. Kitchen and sauna with wood-burning stove. Loft has steep stairs and three mattresses. The closest official starting point of the ski trails is at Ylläsjärvi village, but a couple of kilometers away, the trail goes across Ahvenkangas. The cottage has been painted in June 2024 and a barbecue hut is built in the yard. Pets are allowed for extra charge (fee per pet). No smoking in the cabin. Please note that during winter months Saturday can not be a change day.

Loft height 160cm. 40 km northeast of Kolari, Ylläs ski slopes about 9,5km away. Good berry- and mushomr picking grounds nearby. Lake Iso Ahvenlampi about 100m away. A barbecue hut has been built in the yard during summer 2023. The price includes two baskets of firewood; one to cottage and one to the hut. No pets allowed. Final cleaning is included in the price.

The living room has a sofa bed for 3 persons. Well-equipped kitchen-living room. Electric sauna, shower and separate toilet. Fireplace (baking oven above the fireplace is not in use). Drying cabinet for clothes. Satellite dish in cottage (including news channels in English, German and Russian). The distance from the cottage to Kittilä is about 13 km and to Levi and Ylläs about 30 km. Suvantovirta is situated on the banks of the fishy Ounas River, the most common catches are grayling and trout. Fishing permits and where to buy them can be found at www.ounasjoki.fi. Ball barbecue for use. Water in the tap contains iron, which causes smell and taste into the water. However, it's examined and potable. Wlan. In winter the nearest groomed ski trail is about 3 km from Särestöniemi. From there you can reach to Ylläs and Levi's skiing tracks. There is a connecting track from Suvantovirta to Särestö from week 8, if the snow conditions allow it. There is direct access to the tracks from the cabin yard. The snowmobile track is 1 km along the road (50 m to the ice on the river, where you can also go sledging). Toilets, laundry room, saunas renovated, windows, front door and floors replaced in May-June 2021. New sofa and 43" Smart TV replaced in autumn 2024.
