Relais & Châteaux Hotel Tennerhof

This hotel looks like it was plucked from an actual fairytale. The decor is luxurious yet comfortable, the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating and the food and drinks were top notch. From the time we pulled up until our check out, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The check in and check out process was very easy. We were greeted with a welcome drink and a small bite after a long day of traveling. The bar in the lobby is the perfect place for a nightcap or a drink before dining in the beautiful restaurants. The bartender there, Timae, made cocktails and humored us until the wee hours of the morning. Our room was clean and spacious and had a lovely view of the gondolas. The bed was comfortable. The seating area had some small chocolates and little sweets for us to enjoy as well as two big bottles of water. We ate fondue and drank champagne at the restaurant down the hill where the cheese was hot and delicious and the champagne was cold. We also had the pleasure of eating some traditional food in the main restaurant. There was an aged Reisling on the menu that paired beautifully with the schnitzel. Overall this hotel lives up to its stellar reputation. I can't wait to go back.

We have stayed at the Hotel Tennerhof for the second year in a row. It is a stunning property - well appointed with historic Tyrollean charm but featuring all modern necessities. The staff are exceptional. We love this hotel - it is a special place

During our road trip, Relais & Châteaux Kitzbühel was one of the smallest 5-star hotels we stayed at. Perfectly located next to the town and all the shopping, it made exploring Kitzbühel convenient and enjoyable. Though the weather didn’t allow for many walks or summer hikes using the ski lifts, we still had a great stay. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff was courteous and polite. All in all, a charming hotel!

This is a relais and chateaux franchised hotel - you expect exceptional service. We didn’t get it at the restaurant. The restaurant had 4 or 5 tables - hardly a challenge. Its important To feel special as a guest. On the upside the hotel did upgrade us.

Tennerhof is an absolute gem. The property is beyond quaint and luxurious. The spa is great and the options for body relaxation are plentiful. The location of the Tennerhof is ideal. Close enough to town that walking is pleasurable. And access to fantastic hiking options in the Alps is easy. Perhaps the best aspect of the beautiful lodge is the truly wonderful staff. Everyone we encountered were friendly and treated us like visiting dignitaries. The owner Luigi, the GM Patricia, the bar mgr Sven and the driver Paul could not have been more accommodating. 💥💥💥💥💥

Perfect property. We traveled with 3 teens and stayed in a penthouse chalet. The view and patio were incredible. Breathtaking. We took smaller hikes on the mountains each day. Two were starting at the gondola that is just a short walk downhill from the hotel. My teens loved it! We would walk to town each day for a nice lunch outside in the main town. Lovely. Shuttle service was great but it stopped at 5. Taxis after that time were easy to get. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool area every day. This is really a dream destination. I can’t find any faults. Tip: if you would like to get a fondue from the hotel restaurant near the chalets, you must let them know the day before. We are there but missed out on the fondue.
