Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Kloof. The attention to detail and the magnificent artwork are something to behold. I've never seen anything like it and definitely worth a visit. Rooms are enormous and it's so quiet and peaceful.

This had been one of our favorite stays to date. This presidential suite was amazing. The views breathtaking. The suite is well equipped spacious and speaks of comfort. The hostess is so friendly and the staff efficient. Will definitely return.

I loved my stay at Ammazulu African Palace, from the very friendly and efficient welcome, to the wonderfully weird statues in the garden, unique architecture and amazing display of beadwork/art throughout the premises. The building felt so safe, tranquil and yet exotic, with beautiful views of the Kloof gorge. My room/suite was lovely, with a fridge, kettle and sink, it felt like a home. If ever I visit Kloof again, I will definitely stay here. And I would recommend Ammazulu for anyone needing a calm, quiet retreat.

Amazing experience not just an accommodation stay..It was our first trip to South Africa and I would recommend it to anyone as a must do way to start your African adventure…You can learn so much by both wandering around admiring all the art and reading history of Africa books in the library..Alta and Zuma will answer your questions and Martin will make sure you start your day well with a fantastic breakfast…Then after a busy day out it was great to come back to the peaceful natural surroundings and comfy bed and great bathroom.

I spent a peaceful weekend away here with my family. It's the perfect place to unwind close to nature. It also has eclectic decor and generously sized rooms so it's a great place to stay.

Very spacious rooms. Interesting architecture. The view is amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and shops but not too close that it is disturbing the peace. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Pinetown.

There is nothing to prepare you for the visual spectacle that is the Ammazulu Palace. First of all, you are just overwhelmed by its scale. The next thing that hits you are the colours and textures. It is Africa in fibre, beads and exquisite wood carvings. Our room was as presidential as its name, but I have to commend the staff who were so helpful in assisting us with some unusual requirements. They went above and beyond.
