Baan Kiao

•We had a beautiful bungalow with the sun on it all day • Right next to a nice pool and only a 3 minute walk from the beach • Room was lovely and spacious with a great balcony with a hammock which was lovely to sit out on • Bed was comfy and Air-con was very good • All the staff were lovely but May & Tik on reception were incredible they went above and beyond for us! Telling us all the best places to go, ordering all our taxis for us and they even managed to get someone to drive 1 hour across the island and 1 hour back to retrieve our passports we accidentally left at the previous hotel! They made the whole time there 100 times better. We hope to return some day as everything was amazing!

My wife and I just spent an amazing 10 days at Baan Kiao, and one of the best parts of our stay was the incredible staff at the resort’s restaurant. They made our experience truly special. Tom was fantastic from the start—he always knew what we needed and made sure we felt right at home. TiTi, who we affectionately called “You're My Hero,” was a joy to be around. She had the perfect timing, always checking in on us with a smile and great recommendations. We also bonded with Hein Min and the rest of the team over our shared love for the game "Mobile Heroes." They used to chat with me (Franco) about the game, and we had a lot of fun comparing strategies and stories after their shifts. It felt like we were all part of the same crew, not just guests and staff. Even though I don’t remember everyone’s names, each person made a lasting impression with their kindness and attention to detail. A big hug from Team Franco to all of you—you guys really made our stay something we’ll never forget. We’re already looking forward to coming back with our kids Dani and Sara and catching up, both in the restaurant and in the game (better with Dani :) For anyone planning a visit, definitely try the breakfast—we loved it so much we had it several times. The staff here are more than just attentive; they’re genuinely wonderful people who will go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing time. Thank you, Tom, TiTi, Hein Min, and everyone else, for making our 10 days so special. We can’t wait to see you all again!

We had a wonderful week staying here and would highly recommend it. The rooms are spacious, very clean & well equipped. Set in tropical gardens the views especially from the higher seaview studios are amazing. Very family oriented hotel but still a great choice to stay in as a couple. The beach is only a few minutes walk away and is gorgeous. There are quite a few restaurants within easy walking distance and a 7/11. However the thing that makes this hotel stand out the most are the wonderful staff. They are all absolutely amazing and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. Big shout out to Tom who is a fantastic and a real star & nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much for helping to make our stay so great.

Amazing place with amazing people, 100 meters from the beach, nice bar and pool and the food was great!! The family room is big and comfortable with huge bathroom and big balcony. We loved the place.

Dieses Hotel ist eigentlich eine Bungalow Siedlung die an einem Abhang halbkreisförmig um einen (neu renovierten) Pool angelegt wurde. Die etwas teureren Familienbungalows sind für thailändische Verhältnisse sehr schön und geschmackvoll ausgestattet. Die kleineren Superior Bungalows sind etwas weniger bequem, haben aber eine nette überdachte Terrasse. Klimaanlage und Ventilatoren funktionieren einwandfrei. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen: Es gibt wie in vielen thailändischen Unterkünften keinen Kleiderschrank und man lebt sozusagen aus dem Koffer. Das Personal (zu einem großen Teil aus Myanmar) ist ohne Ausnahme extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ihre Englischkenntnisse sind ausreichend und sie sind der Hauptgrund für die 5 Sterne in den Bewertungen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und auch nach 4 Wochen noch nicht langweilig. Das Essen im Restaurant ist preisgünstig, familienfreundlich und ich würde es als überdurchschnittlich vom Geschmack her bezeichnen. Gleich daneben ist die Pool-Bar, die immer besetzt ist und die Gäste mit angenehmer Musik, meist Evergreens, beschallt. Die Smoothies und Cocktails sind ausgezeichnet und preiswert. Der Weg zum Strand ist bei sehr langsamen Schritten nicht länger als gestoppte 3 Minuten. Der Strand selber ist genau wie der schöne Pool äußerst familienfreundlich und genau deshalb ist dieses Hotel sehr stark von Familien mit Kleinkindern besucht. Spielecke im Restaurant, ein Baby-Bereich im Pool und ein Spielplatz gehören zur Ausstattung. Junge Pärchen, die zum Party machen auf die Insel kommen, werden sich hier wahrscheinlich nicht sehr wohl fühlen. Das Personal betreut die großen und kleinen Gäste sehr liebevoll. Es gibt täglich persönliche Worte für jeden einzelnen Gast. Es ist schwer jemanden herauszuheben: Aber Tom, Serena, Titi, Aung und Tik werden uns in Erinnerung bleiben. Jeden Tag ist frisches Wasser im Kühlschrank und die Handtücher werden regelmäßig gewechselt. Auf der großen Terrasse vor dem Zimmer ist eine Hängematte angebracht und Sesseln sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Hier kommt man immer wieder gerne her.
