Experience The Bungalow for a few nights! In a vibrating area with Jain Temples and just people living! Life in real Kolkata! Everything has already been said but I will repeat it! The staff genuinely caring and attentive to all your needs. The roof top restaurant, convenient, good and pleasant. The rooms with exceptional themed decoration, spacious, impeccably clean and equipped ( fridge, air con, fans etc.) the Metro is walking distance and Ubers will always be called for you on demand. Convenient to have Calcutta Walks as part of the bungalow. Not to miss, Confluence of Cultures and Bringing The Goddess to Earth walks with Tuhina.

Lovely boutique heritage hotel in the old part of Kolkata. Clean, comfortable and welcoming staff who also booked us on one of their walking tours which was excellent. The only negative would be that variety of food was limited and service friebut slow in the restaurant.

If you're looking for a small boutique hotel in Kolkata with tasteful and creative decor and personalised service, Calcutta Bungalow is THE place to stay. The rooms are charming and comfortable, the food is excellent, and the service given by Heman, Sandip and all their colleagues is friendly and efficient. Be sure to have the Uber app on your phone, as it is hard to describe the adress to taxi drivers if you don’t speak their language!

A real heritage place where you feel at home. Cozy, with superb attention to details. Staff absolutely lovely and our room, at the 2nd floor, with terrace in the front of the building, was simply perfect. The hotel deserves more stars! The Calcutta Bungalows is not in the center of the city but at walking distance from the metro.

We have just arrived for our trip to Calcutta. The hotel is very impressive but especially want to commend the restaurant on the rooftop. The food was magnificent prepared by Alam and the service from Anil was also superb. The ambience of this restaurant also made it a special evening. Thank you and well done

We stayed 2 nights in Calcutta bungalow and it was a real treat. The building is beautifully and tastefully restored with interesting things to look at in every room. The staff are friendly and helpful and the beds really comfortable with glorious bed linen. We are breakfast and had a dinner there. The food was delicious and the roof top restaurant so pretty with fairy lights. I cannot fault the stay in anyway and would not hesitate to recommend it. We loved it.

Character-filled, fabulous accommodation - highly recommend. Stayed here three nights with my adult son and we both plan to return one day. Staff very friendly and helpful, organised walking tours most days and really got value out of our brief stay in this fascinating city.

What a wonderful boutique hotel. There aren't that many rooms in this hotel, and there are a lot of stairs, so be forewarned. But the inside, oh, the inside, so unique. With the exposed brick walls, (this townhouse was built in the 1920's) the open air atrium that goes up the 5 stories, the quaint rooms, the dining room on the roof, so cool. The room was on the smaller side, but had all these antique items in it. The bathroom behind the door, with the toilet and sink on one level, and the copper tub up the stairs was so one of a kind. You must have the Bengal breakfast, so simple, but so full of flavour and goodness. You also looked forward to supper, we never went out of the hotel to eat it was that good. The service was outstanding. You must stay here if in Kolkata

Our second stay at Calcutta Bungalow and they have been absolutely amazing. The hospitality, amenities and service is always top notch. Special mention for Manoranjan and Hemant, they were of great help, always smiling and eager to assist.
