Whispering Rocks Hampi Hills by StayApart, Hampi

We chose this restaurant to have a celebration lunch for one of our gr9up of four and really regretted our choice. Impressed by the extensive multicuisine menu, two of us ordered butter garlic prawns , roast potatoes and kingfish fried just with butter, garlic and black pepper. We emphasized many times that there should be NO other spices and the waiter nodded. Our friends ordered prawn curry and chicken korma with naans. Our drinks came quite fast (lassi and lemon soda) . After 25 minutes , our three dishes arrived but the dishes ordered by our friends came after another 30 minutes when we had finished eating! That too after reminding. Their curries must have been already made and it was only the naans that would have to be cooked fresh so the delay is quite incomprehensible and totally spoilt our lunch. Coming to the taste of the food, while our friends' dishes were ok, our prawns were rubbery and 5asteless . The worst thing was that despite our clear instructions, the kingfish was smothered in some awful spice paste. We couldn't eat it and refused to pay for it. Only the potatoes were ok. The management had to accept this but did so with little grace. There was no apology offered. Instead, the staff argued with us. An absolutely awful experience ! It 8s clear that the place lacks managerial supervision and the kitchen 8s not capable of living up to the ambitious menu.
