Sandy Villas Resort

First the negatives. The location isn’t ideal as it’s very quiet outside the hotel with only a few bars and supermarkets . Nowhere to go if you fancy a walk apart from the short main road then onto a dirt track . We paid £1400 each which was not worth it , I felt we were ripped off as other guests on the same flight as us only paid £800 ! It advertised a stocked fridge in our room but nothing was put in all week Room 515 . We bought wine from the supermarket as the wine in the AI package was a choice of red, white or rosy and sometimes served warm . The local beer was always flat and there was only one choice . Evening entertainment was very poor apart from a beach party on Friday which was so good. I would not rate this hotel as a 4 star plus, more 3 star plus . The food in the main dining room was hit and miss. Sometimes hot then luke warm depending on what time you went . It says it serves food until 9.30 pm , we went at 9pm only to find the staff were clearing up . Not the positives. The staff were very friendly , Jessica at guest services was very helpful, James the buggy driver was lovely , the water aerobic instructors were brilliant and funny ( can’t remember there names ) The room was cleaned daily and all recreation areas were very clean . The food in the speciality restaurants had to be pre ordered which wasn’t ideal but it was very nice especially the Italian .

Have I missed anything out? Xx We were a party of 11 ladies staying in the villas for 4 nights. The villas were exceptional. So much room available to us and the swim up pools were lovely. We spent our day time by the chilled out Oasis bar and pool, which was stunning. Even though it is a bit of a walk to the main restaurants and beach, we were able to use the brilliant buggies, which were with us minutes after we called for them. Even though the main restaurant was quite large, there was a huge variety of food on offer to please us all. We were also able to eat great food in the Italian restaurant Il Gusto, as well as the Ermis Gyro a la carte restaurant. At breakfast we ate in Ammos and discovered that Mare Pool bar did brilliant club sandwiches and Greek Salads. The one thing that absolutely made our stay so enjoyable though, was the brilliant staff team . They bent over backwards to look after us. The buggy drivers were great fun - making us laugh as they drove us around. The Oasis Pool bar staff were fantastic; efficient and attentive. Jessica, in guest relations, was thoroughly professional - regularly checking in on us, ensuring all was ok. Restaurant staff in Mare Pool bar were quick to put tables together to accommodate us and were so patient with us as we ordered drinks and food, changing our minds as we went At Il Gusto, the chef baked a cake for our 60th birthday girl. So, a huge thankyou to the staff for making our holiday an unforgettable one. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We booked a swim up villa and all meals at our nice restaurant near the room.supposed to be all adult,it’s been bought and added to other family hotel and all meals are at the butlins restaurant and it’s like the Wild West down there,luckily got a room upgrade curtesy of the lovely Nicolette at guest relations or holiday would of been a disaster.Villas are top class and pool and pool bar up villas end are lovely but have to get buggy half a mile to 3star resort feel sorry for old villa staff working here if was left how original advertising would definitely return but not in current state.even the villas reception closed had to walk at 2am half mile to other reception and was given wrong room terrible start but improved by eating out at mondos.Staff are very good and my favourite was chatting and having early morning coffee at our pool bar at villas with the amazing staff up there

When you arrive at Sandy Villas it’s a really pretty entrance with lovely welcoming staff. We were very lucky to get a free upgrade from a swim up pool to a villa with private pool, as it was my birthday. Villas are beautiful and having your own private pool is a really lovely touch. Would highly recommend these as it’s very luxurious. The ground are very pretty and all areas are very clean and tidy. For some reason there are frogs here and they do jump in the pool. I’m fine with frogs so it didn’t bother us but if you don’t like them then it’s better to be aware of this. The pool bar and lobby bar are nice and the staff can’t do enough for you. We went high season (Aug) so this holiday worked out expensive for what it was £7,600 for 3 adults. This isn’t a 4plus resort, the food selection is poor for the value. It was so repetitive that sometime I just couldn’t deal with having same dinner as my lunch. You can also book 2 restaurants that are on the complex for dinner. Wow don’t even bother as the food is like slops and we had to politely walk out because it was that bad. I’ve been to many 4plus hotels so I could see a big difference between other 4plus resorts food variety. To top it off you have to pay extra for what I would class as a classic cocktail (piña colada) so on top of the £7,600 we had a drinks bill when checking out. To sum up our holiday we would have breakfast and lunch at the hotel and chose to go out and pay extra for dinner which added another thousand pounds or so to the holiday cost. Which I know was our choice but it made the holiday thats much better. If you could do a B&B at this resort for a reasonable price then I would 100% return. The accommodation is beautiful it’s just the food that lets it down for the value of money you pa. You are close to beautiful restaurant and bars so you have everything nearby. This hotel is no way worth £2,500pp+ for 11nights our hotel ended up costing a total of just over £8,600 and felt like a total rip off.

My partner and I had a lovely meal in the Gyros restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and very tasty we also shared a beautiful rosé omikron wine Our host, Nadia was very helpful and polite Thank you
