Hermes Hotel

Lovely hotel, basic but clean. areas around pool etc are quiet and relaxed... breakfast was continental and very much boring and repetitive but there is lots of options around 10/15 min walk away. not for the faint hearted as no lifts and the stairs do get to you by day 5 haha, the walk down to the pebble beach and lots of tavernas is pleasant although no pavements so be careful, maybe not so pleasant on the way back up the hill but once you see the wee blue church your nearly there haha. The staff are all lovely and very helpful, the snack bar food is really good and not expensive, lots of choice for food and drinks at snack bar

Lovely hotel with fantastic views!Continental style breakfast, plenty on offer ! Breads ,cakes,yogurt, boiled eggs,cheeses, meats ,melon ,juices ,cereals ,coffee, tea . A great swimming pool ,large no problem with getting sunbeds . Located up a very slight hill. Takes a few mins to walk up from beach. Diana ,the owner, is very friendly and helpful as are all the staff here . We have room 210 and views over the bay are amazing!!

On arrival had to travel up so many flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase, once I finally made it to my room there was no air con and my god I needed it after that! Had to go all the way back to reception where they issue you with a remote for it. No safe in room or anywhere secure for passport etc. Shower was horrific! Get attacked and wrapped up by the dirty shower curtain, the pressure from the shower made it constantly blow onto you and the cublicle was so small. Towels were so small, could not wrap one around me. Breakfast extremely basic with hardly any options. Hotel was clean in all communal areas and staff very friendly. Nice pool area and bar. Although the distance wasn't far to restaurants etc the walk back was very hard work, uphill and with all the stairs in the hotel I was sweating and out of breath.... not good for anyone who is not fit and has any walking ailments. Checkout was 11am and my transfer to take me back to the airport was not until 19.40pm.. there is nowhere to have a shower... no communal place or facility to use. Ended up having to extend my room until 6pm at a cost of €35 No privacy on the balcony from your neighbours but I had a fantastic view. Top floor of block 3.

I can't agree with the negative review about the staff. We found them very friendly and helpful. We came across this hotel last year by chance and were impressed enough to come back again this year. Diane, the owner, is now back at the helm after illness last year and it's undoubtedly stepped up a notch. The rooms are spotless and cleaned every day. Yes the shower is small but many of the reviews point this out so if you've done a bit of research you won't be surprised; and note to negative poster - try pointing the shower head down. Good Greek breakfast, nice pool which gives you lengths of about 20 metres. The prices at the main bar and the pool bar are very reasonable and you don't feel ripped off. Dimitri, the barman come night manager, is very helpful and if you arrive late can order food in for you from local restaurants. We usually eat in the old town and Ilias (local butcher who now runs his own restaurant ; tip if you don't like meat it's probably not your thing) and Maistrali (Greek restaurant where locals also eat) will send a car to collect you and take you home. NB it's a bit of a hill to walk up, but the main danger is from lunatic tourists on quad bikes going too fast. Many other restaurants lower down on the tourist strip. It may not suit everyone's taste - let's face it the world would be boring if we all liked the same thing - but we'll go back.

Good value Hotel....All the staff and owners are very friendly and helpful speaking good English. Very clean and well kept rooms, brand new mattresses fitted to all rooms while we where there, pool is pretty good quite large and clean. Breakfast is a pretty basic affair bread, toast, hard boiled eggs cold meat and cheese, yogurt etc typical continental + tea coffee etc fresh and plentiful. If you have problems walking upstairs ask for a lower room at time of booking!! as some of the rooms have a quite long set of stairs to access No lifts, but have great views, the bar is not loud late at night. A good base for exploring the island plenty of parking for rental cars and quads etc car rental is easy and plentiful in Keflalos.

Just had a week at the Hermes and we are going back end of August for 2 weeks . This hotel is lovely, friendly staff very clean . It is situated half way up a hill between the harbour and keflos village. Many of the restaurants will pick you up and drop you off or they can also deliver which makes this a great alternative to walking up the steep hill. Pool area brilliant has a bar and you can order drinks and food everything from baguettes to burgers. Many people staying there have returned year after year we met 2 couples this time that have been going for 15 years that says it all really . Really comfy beds and pillows , showers have curtains but you get used to them. No telly .. I do like to have the world news on in the background when I’m in there (which isn’t often) but I never missed it . Tip - if u can get a quad bike you can go everywhere there are many hidden beaches and secluded tavernas which you wouldn’t necessary find if u had to walk as it is quite hilly. Can’t wait to go back
