Akti Beach Club

We had a lovely week here at the beginning of October. We stayed in the adults only section with a shared pool. The room was quite small and dated and had a bit of a musty smell when we arrived like it had been shut up for some time. The shared pool area was a little bleak but it was nice to have a quiet space for sunbathing and a dip when we wanted it (although we didn’t get much sun there). We were very close to the inside bar and the adults only restaurant which we liked. The food was lovely and we really can’t complain about the quality, especially for all inclusive. We did find it quite strange that you have to book to eat in the main restaurant as if it’s a different hotel! The entertainment was very hit and miss throughout the week. The hotel is not near anything walking distance but the free bus in to Kardamena is a good way to get out and about, although we had trouble getting this as people just show up and push their way to the front. The drinks are all branded which is a nice perk in all inclusive hotels. The staff are very friendly and attentive in the adults only restaurant, this is not so much the case in the main reception. We had a lovely, relaxing week here and it looks as though it’s great for families, not sure we would revisit though. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, we have stayed in far better and we have stayed in far worse. And I always say, your worst day in Greece is better than a good day anywhere else!!

We have just returned from 10 days and would definitely go again. We stayed in a superior family room (2 adults, 3 kids). The room was very clean with comfy beds. Food and drinks were very decent, the home made pizzas and late night pancake club was a big hit with the kids. The daytime and evening entertainment by the animation team was very good, and the staff were all very friendly. A big shout out especially to Hedi who was none stop getting everyone involved and very entertaining. Would definitely recommend for families. The location is about a 10min drive from the main town and there are free, regular shuttle buses from outside reception

This is our second visit to this hotel we stayed here in Sept/October 2023.. there has been improvements in the cocktails they are much nicer this time around yes all but one are premixed but they are much nicer than they were previously. Hotel is very clean, staff are lovely! Giannis at the animation pool was lovely, Costa and the main pool bar was also lovely..These guys deserve such high praise..Fantastic animation team. Hedi was our favourite from the animation team he was lovely we always had a little chat everytime we saw him they weren't too pushy like some teams are. Food was varied throughout could always find something to eat. Rooms were clean and spacious we stayed in superior double or twin with shared pool which was great and worth the money.. mini bar service was great..would highly recommend this hotel..already priced up for next year!!

Just spent 7 days at the Akti Beach Club. This hotel is huge, lost count with the number of pools . We were in the adults only area and the food in the restaurant was lovely with a good variety. Our maisonette room was lovely and clean but no tea coffee facilities although you can always get a coffee 24 hour in reception. The animation team and waiting staff/ chefs worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had a great time . A special mention to the amazing Claudia and Robbie the dancers in the animation team, Vasili our waiter in the adults restaurant and the fantastic Amr on the pizza/ pancake section who kept my stepson very happy with his midnight pancake fix !! Nice modern clean hotel with friendly staff. Rooms nice and beds really comfortable....was given a free upgrade to swim up room which was a lovely surprise. Selection of food was pretty good. Drinks OK and you can ask for premium spirits. Coctails are just sugary syrup premixed and not much good. Pools decent though quite cold. Access to beach is good..its pebbly so bring beach shoes. There's nowhere to walk to...its about 4km from Kardemena and there's a regular free shuttle coach which is handy. The thing that lets the hotel down is the entertainment...its pretty dire and deathly quiet by 11pm. They had a disco on a couple of evenings and a quizz in the main bar which was ok. There was only one act the week we stayed a couple of Greek musicians which weren't that good. I would expect more from 4 star hotel. There was also a bit of shock with the tourist tax on arrival which has gone up to 15euro per night per room !!

The positives are that the facilities are very clean. The staff work hard and are always cleaning the pools, rooms etc. Our room was good. Had the shared pool. No 824. I did hear reports of issues with others rooms though… The negative was the food and drinks. There is plenty but it’s very much a variation on a theme. I’ve had better but also appreciate they are catering for huge numbers. The best advice I can give is to wait for the fresh pizza or fresh grilled kebabs. The rest looks like it’s been out a while….. drinks wise, I appreciate the wine and beer is some local cheap stuff but the cocktails are also all premixed in bottles. Again had better at an all inclusive. Would I go again - no.
