Eurovillage Achilleas Hotel

We had a great 2 week stay at Eurovillage. I read a lot of reviews before we left so I'd discovered a lot of things to possibly watch out for. I feel a lot of the bad, or just ok reviews, are not warranted as they are all avoidable if you speak to staff i.e...not happy with room location, not getting enough info about the place or trips. We arrived ( family of 4, 2 daughters, 18 and 15) we had booked 2 rooms and requested they were close together. The hotel is only a 15 -20 minute transfer from the airport so it is very close to the flight path but it's not something that bothered us at all. We had booked a superior twin snd a basic as that was all that was available to us through easyjet. They upgraded us to 2 superior twins so we were only a few doors away from each other. We were also close to the beach which we loved. Spacious rooms, air conditioning with beautiful views. Rooms 118 and 123. We had a surprise of a payment for the environmental resilience tax on arrival which was 7€ a day per room. We were all inclusive and our travel agent hadn't told us about this but everyone has to pay it so be prepared! So we payed an additional €196 on the 2 rooms. Because we had a free upgrade to 2 rooms with sea views through the hotel ( an extra £300 each through easy jet ) we felt it balanced out a little bit. The check in was fine. You are given a tablet that you have to fill out with name, email, passport number etc. It didn't take too long. We were told to go to the buffet restaurant and get some food and drink and come back to reception at 3 and our rooms would be ready. We were taken to our rooms on a golf buggy with our cases. We were so pleased to be close to the beach, but if you want to be near the pool or anywhere else, just request in your booking on arrival and I'm sure they'd sort it. The buffet restaurant is spacious with lots if seating, we usually got a table outsude as its a bit quieter. The food is nice with lots of different choices. Friday is Gala night so it's a glass of Fizz on arrival a photo opportunity,if you want it, and a slightly different menu. There is a themed restaurant above it ( I only knew about this from reviews ) you book it at reception. It's a lot quieter, still buffet style, less choice, nice pizza, and lovely views if you sit outside. We would walk to the beach about 8.30 a.m, choose our sunbeds, sit and chat then go for breakfast and head back to the beach after. Sometimes after lunch we would go to the pool, which our daughters enjoyed. A little hunt for sunbeds but we usually got 4 and stayed there for the afternoon. They do have activities on like kids clubs, volley ball, aqua aerobics but it wasnt in your face, I hardly noticed it. The beach bar is lovely and quiet. A great place to sit and have a cold beer about 5 ish before getting ready for dinner. We walked into Mastichari a few times to buy gifts. There's a coastal path along the beach if you turn right. It takes about 20 minutes and there's love

We booked last minute, we didn't have an updated room but it was clean and I found the location perfect, 1 minute to the beach bar/ beach and 30 seconds from the pool, 20 minutes walk to the village with some beautiful bars and good food. Food wasn't that great some good days, gyros at pool bar at lunch time really good though. The barman at the poolbar wasn't friendly but all other staff were very good. Tip you can book a bus from the hotel to kos Town €5 each way per person the night before it is cheaper if you walk to the village but we went when the heatwave was happening.

It has been amazing zero complaints the food has been good everything is very clean the hotel rooms have been comfortable they are all very close to the beach the swimming pool is massive the bars are good and I have been very happy with my stay.

Stayed for 10 nights wish I had only booked 7, I dont know why they dont check everything in the room works when they clean it, that last thing ypu want to do when you arrive is have to walk back to reception to complain, the shower fell off the wall everytime you tried to use it as the bracket was broken and the phone didnt work to ring reception, main light was also not working. Yes they got sorted except the phone but its not the point!!! Food was poor, not a lot for little kids, not a great selection of fruit and not a banana to be seen unless you go to the Italian restaurant which is even poorer than the main restaurant. Best meals we had were when we went out on trips. Entertainment on evening wasnt bad but the poor guy Davido had to do most of work on his own, really hope they put ore help on for him for busier season. Drinks are hit and miss, sometimes fizzy drinks taste of what theyre supposed to and sometimes theyre like flat soda water, beer is ok and cocktails are hit and miss depends who makes them, whisky is great. The pool is fantastic its the best thing about this place. Beach is good but get pool shoes for going in the sea or it can hurt your feet. The shop across the road is reasonably priced and theres a bike, scooter, beach buggy hire next to it too. If you want to see sunset in Zia go through Viator not whats advertised in hotel, its cheaper and you can choose your day

Fantastic hotel just a 10minute drive from Kos airport. Staff were friendly and efficient on arrival. Rooms were spotless and with room cleaning every other day it was perfect. Food in the restraunts were lovely and a great choice of foods. Pool lovely and big with sun loungers get out early with your towels though as they go very quickly. Cocktails were fabulous.

Returned from the eurovillage achilleas hotel last week it was the twelfth time we have been to the hotel : Many thanks to Maria the guest relations manager for looking after us and all the staff , room was beautiful and clean , our thanks to Zana and Mamma and all the cleaners who do a wonderful job . Also the lovely man on the beach who keeps it lovely and clean,it was a brilliant 2weeks holiday : we also got to speak to Mr Koullias the owner of the hotel what a wonderful man can’t wait to go back , all our love Paul and Sylvie eldred uk(:

Lovely hotel, we booked in online before arriving as we had read about check in being slow, we didn't have an issue with this due to already checking in. Reception man was very nice and helpful when we arrived late at night. It was very nice to receive a snack bag for each of us, especially with arriving late. The golf cart to the hotel room was good especially as we had a very tired 5 year old due to Kate flight. Room Was very clean, good size and just what we needed, we where near the pool, which was a little noisy at night, but as entertainment finished around 11pm ish, wasn't too bad. Our little boy didn't wake from it. Pool Pool area was clean, no issues with getting a sunbed. My little boy loves the pool. Pool bar was good, nice staff. The food was good, but could of done with some different snacks more for kids, like a hotdog or something. Food was ok , breakfast was the best one more choice for us as a family. Not a lot of choice for kids , lunch and evening meal for kids. Would have been nice for a children's food corner. Entertainment team Was really nice and checked we was ok in the day. Davido was brilliant with my little boy, he loved the mini disco. All staff very nice in restaurant, bar, reception and our cleaner was lovely, we stayed in room 303. Beach was nice, we only went swimming down at the beach, didn't sunbathe there. We would go to the hotel again, but would be good if had better food choices especially for children.

We went all-inclusive via Love Holidays as a family of 5. Airport Transfer The minibus was waiting for us when we landed and was on time when we left the hotel, friendly driver and nicely air conditioned transport, it was only 15 minutes to the hotel. Check-In We checked in online prior to arriving at the hotel, it was a seamless process. Don't forget that you are charged 7 EURO's per night per room for the Tourist Tax, which has to be paid upon arrival. We arrived 2 hours before our room was available, so went for a swim and a couple of beers. The receptionists were happy and very helpful. Room Great rooms, next to each other with a sea view. Lots of storage, not many plug sockets. Room is dated, but perfect for us. Towels for the beach/pool are provided. Cleaner The Cleaners came in every other day and did a great job. Swimming Pool Salt Water pool, which we found better than a chlorine pool. The pool is huge. If you want a sun-lounger directly around the pool you need to get up very early to reserve it, however if you are happy to have one a few metres back they are available up until 8:30/9am. Entertainment Davido was great with his entertainment, Aerobics, Volleyball, Water Polo during the day, he is very friendly and gets everyone involved. There is also an evening entertainment programme with 30 mins per night for the little ones. Beach The beach is a 3 minute walk, there are lots of sun loungers available, we went every day, the kids loved it. Bars The drinks are as you would expect, local lager, wine, spirits... they served good measures, but not sure how strong they were, it's the first holiday where I haven't felt like I've had a good drink at the end of the night. The bar staff are very busy and work really hard, I don't think they have time to have chats with people as there is always a queue for the food, which could come across rude , but I think they are just busy. Village Mastichari is a 20 minutes walk along the coastal path, some of it isn't lit up so be careful. Mastichari is great, lots of restaurants and a few bars. The bus to Kos town is also there, however it was extremely busy and hot. The cost of the bus is 3.50 euro per person each way. Food This was our only let down, but this could be a personal preference as some people loved it. There was lots of choice of food, but we didn't think the quality was great, there are also lots and lots of flies, that are landing on the food and flying around you while eating, this put us off by day 6, after my wife was sick we decided not to eat at the restaurant anymore so had 4 meals out in the village for the remainder of the holiday, which was an unexpected cost. There is an Italian Restaurant upstairs, which you have to book, we did this once, it was much better than the main restaurant, nice and quiet with great views. Overall it was a great holiday, it has put us off All Inclusive though, so will choose Self Catering next time.

amazing experience!! Definitelly coming back next time gained probably 50 pounds because of how delicious the food was. We rented motorcykles and visited many hidden beaches across the island. Great staff also. Thank you for amazing stay!☀️
