Friendly staff, good guestroom tho its a small space and theres an insect (cockroach) on the bed which we had to moved another room. Anyhow, the staff service is attentive and responsive as given us insect repellent.

Why did i book this hotel? Because of its location and it shows 3⭐️⭐️⭐️ I trusted the photos, which is so unlike of me! I always read reviews before booking any room, but i totally forget that. And i proceed to book! Its just 10mins drive from the airport (theres little jam here n there) Alight right in front of the hotel door. 1. Front desk was so-so. Staff wasnt there, i got to press the bell before she come out. 2. She checked my booking and took her less than 10mins to collect RM50 deposit (its for the door card) 3. After giving us 2 cards, she told us to proceed to the next bulding and go to Blok B and go up the lift to Level Five. 4. We walked to the next building to look for the lift. After finally found the lift which looks eerie. We went up to level five. Upon reaching level 5,we need to use the door card to access the 'mirror door' so as to go thru the walkway to our room. 5. Our room was located right at the end of the walkway. Upon opening the door, we we greeted with disappointment! 6. The room, windows,the amenities looks scary in broad daylight. I dont dare to open the toilet door tho. 7. Quickly went down to checkout. Front desk told us that we wont get a refund (which we nv think of) also asked us if we want to chg room. We just decline the offer. Room was superb old. I cant imagine coming back at night in that environment. I dont feel safe at all.

My recent experience at Celyn Hotel in Kota Kinabalu was unfortunately disappointing. Although I understand it’s a budget hotel, basic standards of cleanliness should still be upheld. When I checked into my room, it felt like it had been used without proper cleaning. There were visible signs of neglect, and to my dismay, I even encountered a cockroach in the room. Cleanliness is non-negotiable, regardless of the hotel’s price range, and this is an area where Celyn Hotel really needs to improve. Guests deserve a clean and comfortable environment, and it's clear that attention to these details was lacking during my stay. On a positive note, I want to give a shout-out to the Trip.com agent who handled my concerns quickly and professionally. They were very helpful in resolving the matter and made sure that I felt taken care of, which somewhat improved an otherwise negative experience. In summary, while Celyn Hotel offers budget accommodation, they seriously need to step up their housekeeping efforts. For future guests, I hope the management takes these reviews into consideration and makes cleanliness a priority.

Hotel a bit old. Location wise is good. Restaurants nearby. A bit noisy at night.

Nice for staying for travel becoz near mall

I can see dust on the amenities provided, no toilet tissue the sheets is clean bit have yellow colour on it. Everything beside that is okay. Improve cleanliness and it would be best choice for cheapest hotel near centre point mall

The lift and stairs are quite dirty with unpleasant smells
