Hotel Mira Mare

It is a serviceable hotel but really not the idyllic retreat resort I was hoping for. the photos are somewhat rosetinted. The hotel is up a slope from the beach road, and the majority of the rooms don't face the sea, most of our view was a building site. the rooms were OK, we had two rooms for two nights for two families, one of the families had to change rooms between nights, that is really poor planning. Hotel is two buildings connected, but only connected on ground and 5th floor so between the two it is a hassle. There is a pool, a small pool, without a decent view. The breakfast is ok, more than bread and jam. There is no all day bar, there are no cocktails, there is no service at the pool. The path you walk to go from one of the buildings to the exit feels like you are walking through a Staff only back storage area. All this would be OK if the prices felt like a basic budget hotel, but they weren't. Clean, and serviceable, but expensive for what it was, and not what I felt it had sold itself as

Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. Hotel is easy to find as there are plenty of signs in Ksamil to direct you. Hotel is situated about 200metres from the beach on top of a steep hill, about 50metres at 20 degrees gradient - there are steps when walking up and down. The hotel has a roof top terrace with good views of the sea. This is where the buffet breakfast is served. There is a good selection of food, cereals, eggs, fruit, juices, and local dishes. You are entitled to 1 proper coffee after that you have to pay for additional coffees unless you have the filter coffee from the Urn (which is not that nice). In the afternoon / evening there is a bar serving coffee, soft drinks, beer, white wine and some spirits (no cocktails). You can have dinner there at €15 per person but we never saw a menu so I am not sure how much they promote this. I think the roof terrace would benefit from a happy hour and a couple of cocktail options. The room we had was clean and cleaned every day. Shower curtain is not that effective so you get a lot of water on the bathroom (small) floor. Our room had a fridge and a two ring electric hob for cooking. There are some pans but only a wooden spoon as acooking utensil, so virtually impossible to cook anything except pasta and pre made pasta sauce. Am sure most people don’t want to cook but as the hotel has invested in the electric hobs I think they should have a few sets of cooking utensils that guests can borrow. Our balcony had a washing line that is below the air conditioning unit and we woke up to find the clothes wet from dripping water from the air con. You can borrow towels and umbrellas from reception but the day we took an umbrella to the beach it was windy and wouldn’t stay in the sand. So overall we had a pleasant stay and nothing bad about the hotel but I think for a 4 star hotel it is 3.5 out of 5 for me.

Great location close to a beautiful beach with pristine water. We had a fantastic breakfast on the rooftop with the best view of Ksamil! The host is extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and conveniently laid out for a family stay.

I’ve booked the hotel 4 months ago, since 2 days I received a request because my credit card for them seems not working. I input credit card 2 times and call them in way to understand what is happening. In late afternoon I received cancellation of booking. Funny since I have 4 credit card I travel all around the world with them and also I have cash enough to cover not 2 days but 2 weeks. I call the hotel to have explanation and they say I cannot understand. Please stay away from these scammers that put foreigner people without a reservation and without reply you!!! these people are the bane of tourist Albania!

Very nice hotel , clean , with nice view and cosy. The beach is 200 metres walk . The owner was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was very good. I recommend it because I really enjoyed this place. Thank you very much for everything. We will come back. Ksamil is amazing and Mira Mare made wonderful our stay .

We had such a wonderful stay at Mira mare, we couldn’t ask for a better place to stay at. The staff are the best, so kind and helpful!! The hotel is super fresh, amazing rooms and views, and super tasty breakfast. We stayed for almost a week and had the best time, recommend 10/10! If I come back I will defiantly stay here again.

Accueil exceptionnel. Notre séjour était en toute fin de saison et nous avons pu loger dans cet hotel à un bon prix. Le patron nous a accueilli avec un verre sur la terrasse panoramique de l’hotel. Tres belle vue sur la plage toute proche. Chambres agréables avec terrasse. Super buffet petit dej sur le beau rooftop. Quartier en mutation et travaux a proximité.

Heel vriendelijk ontvangen. Kaner ziet er in het echt mooier uit. Ik was aangenaam verrast. De kamers hebben ook rolluiken, zodat het echt donker wordt en je niet door de zon om 6 uur gewekt wordt. Goed geprijst. Erg leuk personeel. Schoon en gezellig. Het dakterras is fantastisch.

Un très bon séjour chez Mirael. Un gros coup de coeur pour l'Albanie et les albanais vraiment charmants. Des remerciements particuliers pour notre courageux et toujours serviable Christi, une joie de voir le sourire d'Alba le matin. La literie est impeccable l'air conditionné aussi et les petits déjeuners savoureux dans un cadre magnifique. Anne Philippe et Paul.
