Good location and very suitable for solo trip, near public transportation and you can find anything you want in this area such as food, shopping, entertainment and etc.

I have never stayed at a Japanese hotel that did not provide bottled water and when I asked, I was told to boil the tap water in the room! Room was really dusty and I kept sneezing until I cleaned the picture frame and headboard. The lighting situation that other reviewers commented about hasn't improved. The problem is they're using the wrong type of bulbs with narrow beam angles so there's dark corners everywhere not helped by the dark walls in the room and the hotel corridors look like a tomb. Whoever designed the lights doesn't know what they're doing. The only good things - good water pressure in the shower and across the road from the famous tonkatsu place. Overall this hotel is poor value for money, you can get similar hotels with better lighting and free bottled water nearby. I do NOT recommend this hotel.

A lovely little hotel just a few minutes’ walk from the Sakuramachi bus station. Very convenient for getting to the Aso volcano by high speed bus. The station is inside a big mall and you can do most of your shopping there too. The hotel itself was comfy, and I got to do my laundry there which was ace.

Hotel just off the A line tram stop, at end of Shimatori shopping street. Nearby Sakura Machi, a 10 mins walk to Kumamoto Castle. Hotel is new and clean, there is laundry facilities and locker facilities to leave your luggage.

Location is good. Space is enough.

Hotel room is good but parking is not at the hotel..

The hotel is very modern and is in great condition. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are spacious by Japan standards. The design is clean and very contemporary. Just around the corner from the walking street and new shopping mall and bus station. A few stations from the main train station on the tram. Highly recommended.

Cozy stay, value of money

This hotel have several convenience stores nearby. And a shopping mall near the car park. I rented a three bed room. At first, the humidity of the room is relatively high, and have an air-con water dropping issue. Being told that this issue is normally in Japan since it is a raining season, but the staff assist to offer another room. The second offer room air-con is in trouble, which is not cool even turned to 16 degree. At last, we were upgraded to the slightly larger room with three beds (the third bed is still a sofa bed). The room is so clean, two beds are in double bed, the tv could used for Netflix and YouTube. I would say the organise of the staff is in a satisfy level. The shower supplies are in Kose, the water pressure is relatively good among four hotels I’ve been stayed in Japan for this trip. But there are only 8 car parking in this hotels, with the first in first serve policy. So, we couldn’t managed to have a car parking although I’ve been told in the comment box by trip.com. However, they have some collaborated car parking suppliers nearby with a discount coupons. It’s not really convenient for you if you just stay for one night. But for me, it’s more than acceptable.

Hotel environment is dark themed and calm, however during our time there, hotel was probably full house and the hk tour groups were so loud and rowdy, the service staff werent able to get them to lower their voices and commotion in the front desk nor at breakfast too. It was otherwise a very clean, and efficiently laid out room, good hotel option and at a convenient location too.

The hotel is close to lots of shops and restaurants, and the staff is friendly. The room cleaning is done every other day. However one time when we requested to have our trash cleaned in the room, the door was left unlocked when we return.

Stay 4 nights but never clean my room once

Everything is perfect from the room cleanliness, staff politeness, hotel facilities. Just one small comment is the heating is way too strong
