The room for 4 is spacious. Love the location of this hotel. Near the whole stretch of shops at Shinshigai. It is also very Sakara machi shopping mall. The skyspa OSEN is so awesome. Nice view and exclusive!

We booked a four bedroom. Layout is thoughtfully designed with separated toilet and cleaning areas for family. Room is clean and new. Excellent location with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The only thing to be mindful is the spa and breakfast can be very busy. Highly recommended for this hotel.

Location is excellent. Spa is good. No frill hotel. Spacious room recommended for families. Check in is at top floor together with the Spa. Like any typical hotel in Japan, staff ability to converse in English is limited. However they are friendly and ready to help.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed, a terrible check-in experience left a lasting negative impression on my stay. Excellent Location—right at the start of the main shopping area, making it convenient for exploring the city. Drivers Beware - the hotel uses an automated parking system. I was informed only at the door that my Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross was considered too tall, I had to pay for overnight parking at a nearby public lot. Luckily, there are lots right beside the hotel. Families booking standard rooms beware - should take special care on the room type and booking policies. I was only made aware that my reservation was for 1 adult and 1 child, but I had selected 2 guests during booking via booking platform. However, it was the only option available at my time of booking. Nevertheless, I was asked to upgrade and had to pay extra. While the front desk staff was helpful, the manager was rude, defensive when I raised concerns or made a request. He made incorrect claims about my booking price, insisted that I booked cheap, I had no chance to speak on that conversation and when I decided to end the conversation, the front desk staff politely apologized—only for the manager to reprimand her, insisting there was no need to apologize. After a long day of driving, this frustrating check-in process was unnecessary. Guests deserve better treatment. I left this hotel feeling very shortchanged. After this incident, I began to nitpick other issues with this hotel during my stay... Like the crowded elevator usage especially at night, wet elevator floor, onsen with an OK view that would benefit from more frequent cleaning, room with poor lighting design with dark areas at some spots, all hidden behind the hotel's extravagant design... I personally will never return.

The hotel is near the shopping streets.It's convenience for us to buy everything, includes the souvenirs and daily use.The grilling meat shops are covered all the street.Over 3 parking lots are nearby the hotel as well.Furthermore, many delicious Japanese food shops for choosing.The hotel also provides free water spa and sauna on the top floor which runs near 20hrs daily.The 3-persons bedrooms are clean and large, it has enough space for family to take a nap.Come again next time.

The hotel is located in a prime location of Downtown Kumamoto. The room is very clean and the service staff is friendly.

Breakfast buffet was fine but will not recommend people to pay for that. The room was even worse than my last visit in June 2024, I found so many dead mosquitos( but no photo).

This hotel is very conveniently located near the shopping are and there are lots of restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay again at this hotel if we visit Kumamoto again!

Nice rooftop bath and sauna, prime location that you are just a corner away from the shopping street. Clean n neat room with friendly staff!

Convenient location. Great baths and big rooms. There’s coin laundry service on each floor too. Parking is a bit pricey though but it is in the city.

Very good location with walking distance to Kumamoto castle and shopping area. Nice room and rooftop Onsen to relax long walking. Will recommend to friends

Didn’t took any photos of the hotel as I felt that most of the other guest would have done so. However I wish to update new travellers about what to expect when staying in this hotel, you will get to see a tower parking just beside the hotel, that parking is sort of affiliated to the hotel hence you can park there and pay just a fixed rate. At my time of stay at Nov2024 period it was about 1200JPY per 24hours. You can park anytime and take the car out anytime to drive out based on what we have experienced. There are lots of food places nearby Take note that you are in the heart of Kumamoto city and when checking out and driving out of the city, our issue was there were too many cars and the Google maps is not responding well perhaps due to the tall buildings. Took a long way out before we reached the Kyushu highway. Hence do familiar yourself with the routes when leaving. Hotel is great! I been a fan of candeo hotels, love the fact that we can go to the onsen late at night too
