Sofitel Kunming

Close to the subway, easy to get around to the nearby night markets if needed. Friendly staff, perfect for 2-3 days in Kunming and my dad definitely loved the pool. The sauna could be bigger but the city views are unmatched.

I came here for the Kunming marathon, this is one of the best hotel in town, but the malls and metro are kinda far,

The hotel, although showing some wear, was clean everywhere we went.  Food on the 49th floor was good, with a great variety for both breakfast and evening buffet.  The only complaint is the coffee which was always quite bitter. I suspect it was the poor coffee machines, but could have been the beans as well.  Service throughout the hotel was top notch.  From the lobby staff, to housekeeping, to restaurant, to Spa, everyone seemed to be extremely well-trained, well-mannered, genuine and sincere.  The staff of KweeZeen on the 49th floor were the highlight of our stay. Particularly, Helen He and Naomi Li, who were always incredibly helpful, gracious and pleasant.  These are special people, and should be considered Sofitel Company treasures!  The Spa staff were also wonderful. The Spa environment was peaceful and Jenny Luo gave an expert massage.  We were also lucky to see the charming robot Sofie in action several times throughout our stay. :) We will definitely return soon, and we're looking forward to seeing all the friendly faces again at Sofitel Kunming!
