Amazing location in the ancient town. Nice and cosy with very nice view. The room is facing the main scenic river area and I enjoy sipping tea while looking at the view. Room is clean and nice. The owner and assistants are very friendly. They even offered local delights snacks and carried my heavy luggage up to the room and across th bridge when I checked out. Definitely would stay here again if I visit this area.

My stay at Guyunfeng Hotel was a peaceful and memorable experience, made even better by the owners, who were truly amazing. From the moment I arrived, their kindness stood out, it’s clear they genuinely care about their guests Although I didn’t receive tea along with the snacks that some other reviews mentioned, I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of the snacks I did get. Small touches like this made my stay feel personal and welcoming What I loved most about my time here was simply staying in my room and people-watching from the window. The view was a quiet kind of magic like watching daily life unfold in Zhouzhuang’s water town felt like stepping into another world. The town moves at its own pace, different from anything I’m used to, and it reminded me how refreshing it can be to slow down and truly observe If you’re looking for a place with a cozy atmosphere, wonderful hosts, and the chance to soak in the charm of Zhouzhuang, Guyunfeng Hotel is a great choice. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a small retreat where you can reconnect with the beauty of simple moments P.S. you will have to pay a ticket for 100RMB and good for 3 days. If you stay more than 3 days, you will have to pay ticket for every 3 days or so. You can buy a ticket from vending machines and have your face scanned at the security checkpoints, or buy it manually, take picture on ticket with date then show it to security guards.

cute hotel with great location (close to the main gate of the Zhouzhuang town and 30m from the Double Bridge. Owners are a very nice couple. They helped carry my luggage, get me a ticket with my photo (so that I could go out of town and go back again without having to buy a new ticket), and gave me snacks as a gift as I left. The room is clean and basic with everything you need. Great view to the river - you can sit by the window people-watching and listening to the white noise including singing voices of boatwomen/boatmen.

We are very pleased by our staying at Guyunfeng. The hostess were so helpful, nice and polite. They were the highlight of our stay making us very comfortable. We got sweets, tea by the river, great experience. Zero noise in the room. The location was premium, the room was very clean and the hotel architecture offered a local Chinese experience. Highly recommended!!! Thank you for your hospitality!

Centrally located and easy to find. The owner were very helpfull with touring information around the water town. One night and a half day is adequate to fully appreciate the place. We got there via an 8 seater shared taxi within an hour. On the return, the owner walked us out for 10 mins to take the public bus to Tongli Metro as it starts behind a building parking lot. We wanted to get to Suzhou early in the morning and took 2 hrs. Shared taxis starts at 8:30am.

Very friendly host – really going out of their way to help you even despite the language barrier I had (I don't speak Mandarin). Walked me to the town entrance to convert the ticket to a 3-day pass (no way I would have known to do that!). When asking where to get to the bus stop, walked with me for 15 minutes to the location, and made sure I could get on the bus (the ticket system is not designed for foreigners). Gave me local treats as a gift. Very friendly and warm welcome. Beautiful view from the window, right above the canal.

Clean room with nice view. But the most impressive thing is the hospitality of the hotel owners. We love staying here so much and would like to recommend this hotel to everyone ❤️❤️

The hotel is located inside the scenic area so be prepared to pay a fee to even go inside. Wasn't familiar with that before. The service was very good, helped as much as they could, especially with carrying a luggage because the road is quite historical with eneven stones and a bridge. There are around 10 spots to visit inside and I was given the map to find them all. So I can recommend this place if you like ancient Chinese cities with canals and it's own beaty and charm.

The best location in Zhouzhuang. The owners are friendly, although no one of us speak Chinese they used an app to translate the message, and they gave us un upgrade of our room without ask anything more. Definitely, if I came back I'd like to stay there again. Thank you for everything. ;) also for the gift!

Very friendly owner. Room is big and comfortable. Basic but have everything u need. Hotel location is tiptop in the middle of area yet is near from main entrance. Very recommended.

The room is lovely with a very good view from the window. The location is near the entrance and convenient to visit the town. Just only one problem about the smell emitted from the bathroom. The owner is super friendly. Highly recommend this place.

The hosts are very nice. They helped us to carry luggage from the gate to the hotel and vice versa. They also help us to buy the show ticket with good prices. Don't miss the show when you come here.
