Kijani Beach Villas

We picked Kijani after our 5 day Safari and chose 3 nights for a bit of luxury, but soon realised we should have stayed here longer and had less time in Stonetown. Kijani is everything the photos on their website show but so much more. Aliya recommended and arranged our Dhow trip which was a perfrct, she is absolutely fantastic and gives so much attention to all of her guests no matter what the time is, the staff are also amazing and our trip was to celebrate 3 milestone birthdays. My wife was 50 during our stay and Happy Birthday was sung at Breakfast with the addition of a cake and the whole staff singing at the evening meal, absolutely amazing. There isnt one thing that could have been improved and the photos say it all. Kijani Beach Villas, thank you for making our trip special.

At the entrance you will find the sign ‘welcome to paradise’ - and they are right. This cosy stylish boutique hotel with 4 villas right at a tranquil beach, is stunning. The villas are spacious and beautifully decorated, with some nice local touches. The view is amazing - we loved watching the seaweed ladies at work, and at times see bikes and people passing by. Unfortunately their restaurant was destroyed during a fire but they’ve build a beach bar with a little terrace for lunch and drinks. You can also have things delivered at your own private terrace. For dinner and breakfast a sister hotel with restaurant is just a few steps away. Staff was super friendly and food was tasty. We all had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

Kijani is paradise🤩🏖️ With an exceptional location on the beach there are only 4 villas, making it almost your personal paradise. Great service from a fantastic staff making it a perfect location for our family visit to Zanzibar. Stayed there for 5 nights and would have loved to continue the stay. Thanks 😍

We booked for a family seafood plater and weren't we surprised. First, the size! Holy cow, the biggest plater we'd ever had and not had ever since. Then the service! What courtesy and knowledge of food. We called the chef and he graciously explained, to detail, how some of the dishes were prepared. The cosmopolitan features of the dishes was most appealing. Finally, the restaurant space! How much better can a restaurant decor get. That Kabaka style structure is lit extraordinarily warmly and feels like home. Why am I writing this review this late? Because I am taking my family back to Kijani Zanzibar for a Xmas dinner. Going home for the seafood player. Feels like going back home.

We spent 4 days at Kijani Beach Villas in February with my family (spouse and 2 kids) and we had such a wonderful time. We booked at the last minute (less than 24h in advance) and Aliya and Chris were very responsive and efficient. As soon as we arrived, Aliya and her team made us feel very comfortable, and this during the whole stay there. She has organized all our daily excursions and airport transfers with excellent partners on the island. The place has only 4 family villas, therefore you are in a very quite and peaceful place, with direct view and access to a beautiful white sandy beach. The swimming pool is of good size, the kids enjoyed it very much. The personnel at the restaurant is amazing, accommodating any of your requests to their best level. The restaurant menu is pleasant and healthy, made of a fusion of local and western style food. The hotel is located in a prime location on the island, you get access to many places within 30 min drive. If ever you want to discover Zanzibar with your family, I'd strongly recommend Kijani Beach villas, you won't regret it.

Kijani Beach villa's is een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen na een druk reisprogramma. We zijn zeer gastvrij onthaald door de manager Aliya, het hotel ziet er precies zo uit als op de foto's en de sfeer is heel relaxed. De huisjes zijn mooi, schoon en comfortabel, ook het terras voor het huis is heerlijk om te zitten met direct uitzicht op de Indische Oceaan. De keuken is erg goed, we hebben hier van alles gegeten, zelf salades (hetgeen we op andere plaatsen in Tanzania vaak niet gedurfd hebben) Er werd meegedacht in activiteiten die we wilden ondernemen, als er iets niet functioneerde werd dat weer opgelost. Kortom een echte aanrader.
