M's Hotel Nijojo Oike recensioner

We spent only one night here as at the other M's Hotel on the same street didn’t have any space on our last night in Kyoto. As per the other hotel we really had a good experience. The hotel is located in a nice and quiet area of Kyoto, right next to Sanjo shopping street that has many convenience stores and dining options. Bus stops are just 5 minutes away. The kind staff was there when we arrived, we could leave our bags at the reception when we arrived early and when the checked out. Our room was spotless and neat, non smoking, had heating, hot water, fridge and kettle, towels and toiletries. We could sleep really well as mattresses and pillows were comfy and thankfully there was no noise during the night. We would stay here again in future without any doubt.

Overall a nice stay here in Kyoto! Central enough location with quiet streets to walk a bit and comfortable enough beds. A bit basic and small, but totally fine for a shorter stay. Staff was quite hands off and not necessarily the most helpful, but luggage storage was nice and all was straightforward. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

I picked this place a bit randomly according to its value in my dates of stay. It revealed itself as a great surprise: perfect location in Kyoto, big room, very quiet. I especially loved the street, the proximity of Nijo-jo and the subway station, the various restaurants walking distance, on top of a great comfort. It was a little tricky to do the checking in on our own in front of a machine but we ended up nailing it! I would definitely recommend it and come back there on my next trip.

Convenient and close to public transits.   Value for money.  Used as a hub for Kyoto trip.   One minor suggestion - It would help to have a scale in house for weighing luggages as this can help before going to airports.  We did borrow one from the next M’s hotel 150 metres away.

We were late to book an hotel and ended up at this one. Unfortunately, the price offered upon arrival was way higher than what he paid on the app. Otherwise, very good service and nice room. It was clean, and very secured with their digital code for accessing both the hotel and room. Very satisfied.

The location is okay but the room is quite small for 3 persons stay and no in room cleaning service schedule provided during the staying 3 nights.

Fairly good hotel. They don’t allow you to store bags after checkout which was quite unusual. The check in process was also not very smooth with a computerised self-check in which didn’t work for us and no staff in sight. Eventually someone did come out from the back to check us in manually. Room itself was adequate and quite clean, if a little cramped.

Overall great, the room is clean and big compare to other hotel in Japan. The staffs are polite and kind.

Clean, but far from transit and go station

Rooms: Small and modest, but comfortable. The beds are Japanese-style, and the bathtub is deep. The water takes a few minutes to warm up. Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value
