The room was spacious and clean. It was located only 5 minutes walking distance from Kyoto station. The beddings were good and comfortable. It would me nice if the hotel provides free bottles of water. I’ll definitely recommend to my friends visiting Kyoto.

Disappointing Experience: Overpriced and Poor Quality I stayed at this hotel for two nights starting April 7th, having booked a Standard King Room back on March 26th for "3,686 HKD". Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in Japan. 1. Room Quality & Cleanliness Upon checking into my initial room, I was met with an overwhelming foul odor. The walls were visibly stained and dirty. Even after turning the air purifier to its maximum setting, the smell remained unbearable. I requested a room change, and while the staff moved me to a Superior Twin Room (which was slightly larger), the conditions were barely better. *Dirty Interior*: The walls in the second room were also filthy, and the sofa was so stained that I didn't even feel comfortable sitting on it. *Misleading Photos:* The actual condition of the rooms looks nothing like the polished photos online. It is a classic case of "expectation vs. reality." 2. Noise & Sleep Quality The location is extremely problematic for light sleepers. The hotel is right next to a main street, and the **noise insulation is non-existent**. Even at 2:00 AM or 3:00 AM, the roar of engines kept me awake. To make matters worse, bright streetlights shine directly through the windows, making it nearly impossible to get any rest. 3. Price Discrepancy To add insult to injury, I checked the current rates during my stay and found the price had dropped by *800 HKD per night*. I ended up paying *1,600 HKD more* for two nights than the current market rate, which feels like a total rip-off considering the low quality of the facilities. 4. Note to other travelers: The Family Mart located directly beneath the hotel has a very strong, unpleasant smell that is hard to tolerate every time you enter or exit the building. Save your money. There are far better, cleaner, and quieter options in the city for a fraction of this price. I will not be returning. Poor Support from Trip.com： Beyond the hotel's issues, the communication with Trip.com was incredibly inefficient. Their customer service failed to address my concerns or provide any meaningful solution to the discrepancy in room quality. This experience has completely destroyed my trust in their service. I will never use Trip.com to book a hotel again.

This is the second time that I’ve booked here because the last time I came everything was satisfactory. The room was really wide compared to other hotels that I’ve been to in Japan. Not just that, the onsen was clean as always and had yuzu inside this time but maybe it’s because it was winter but I couldn’t see it the next day so that was abit sad. The service was great!! You can check out and still ask them to hold the bag. The only downside I could say was that the walls were slightly stained ?? I think it’s due to the luggage being moved around by other individuals. It’s not too the point that it would bother anyone. But it did catch my eye abit.

A wonderful location, proximity to the station and convenient transportation (you can easily get to any part of the city) along with a large number of huge shops make this hotel one of the best choices for accommodation in Kyoto.

Great place to relax and unwind after spending the day in Tokyo!  Staff were extra kind and extremely helpful.  The facilities and decor are top-notch.  The aesthetic of the room was incredibly well thought out - the dimmed lighting makes the room even more relaxing - the hot tub/onsen on the first floor is extremely well maintained and great after walking all day.  There's a nice cafe connected to the lobby and a Family Mart five steps from the hotel entrance. Would highly recommend if you need to be near Kyoto station.

Very unfriendly staff, ok facility, some restaurants around and close to station but not much to recommend for.

Close to the station, public bath and enjoyed the in house breakfast amazing coffee btw!!!

I mentioned to the front desk that I hope to have the same room as last year. The receptionist was very nice and gave me the room next door, which has a view of Kyoto Tower. It's convenient for taking the bus, and the cleanliness is good. I hope to stay here again next time!

This is a great hotel, my second time staying here. The rooms are very cozy and clean, and the staff is very helpful. Our flight was delayed, and they checked us in after check-in time. There's an onsen, and even though the water isn't mineral, it's still super after a long flight. Try the ice cream from the ice cream machine when you leave the onsen feeling hot. There's a cafe on the ground floor with breakfast: I recommend the Japanese-style one, but they also have a regular European option, and the coffee is good. There's a nice izakaya nearby with tempura, Tempura & Wine Kojima (天ぷらとワイン小島 京都店). There's also another cool cafe nearby, SAKESORA (京の).
