Hotel Tavinos Kyoto recensioner

The check in was really easy. Room was clean. Great hospitality and service was amazing. Close to most of the tourist location and really walkable.

Hotel is new, modern and cheerful in its decor. The reception is at level 3, and you have access to 7-11 at level 1. You also get complimentary hot drinks, water and ice dispenser all day. Simple but sufficient breads like mini croissant and Danish were provided. Location is also great!

A modern hotel in a great location. We were impressed by the automatic system of storing luggage, the common areas where one could have a meal and enjoy the evening city lights, and the layout of the room itself - designed in such a way as to maximize space, with areas to store your belongings underneath the bed. On the other hand, the pillows and blankets were oddly inappropriate and not really comfortable, while the view from our room was also pretty uninspiring.

I liked this hotel very much. Great location, walking distance to the subway and Kyoto station and 7eleven is practically in the hotel. The only thing I didn't like was the pillows, they are very hard and insanely uncomfortable for us.

We went to Tokyo, Osaka and at the end Kyoto, and this was by far the best hotel we stayed. Thank you Tavinos we loved you

Stayed in this awesome hotel for two nights. Great location. Literally less than 10 minutes taxi ride from JR Kyoto station for less than 900 Yen! The hotel room is cozy and clean. We love the common area where you can get free coffee, tooth brush, slippers, PJ and read manga! The pillow is so comfy!

Not too far from the bridge and center, you can walk around 10-12 minutes.

This hotel is AMAZING! The design is so cool and modern with a touch of the traditional japanese vibe. Very well located and block away from the metro station that is near Yasaka Pagoda area. Amenities are good since you can pick them up in the lobby whenever you need them. Nice public areas and with a 7/11 on the first floor!!! Do I need to say more? 10/10

Very secure hotel, Honestly this hotel's service is amazing. Here's the run down on the hotel: • Laundry is affordable, The dryer is AMAZING • Hotel is secure, stops at level 3 every time which makes it safe so if you're feeling unsafe RUN to the counter. • Hotel offers complimentary buns(Croissant,etc.), water(Hot and Cold), coffee and miso soup • If you're really bored while waiting for laundry, just stay at level 3 there's board games + Manga • At level 1 there's a 7-11 which has literally everything you need • opposite the hotel is a convenience food restaurant, mostly costing below $10. • You can see the status of the washing machine+ dryer via your television Though a few things to note: • Room cleaning is done every 3 days

The best hotel investment in KYOTO! Lawson is below the hotel and the station bus like few steps from the hotel. Super close! Train station is like 5-7mins walk. Not that far actually. The best part is FREE breakfast & free comic reading. Also you dont need to bring pyjamas! They provide pyjamas. Everything was great! We enjoy the stay! The place overall has a cute theme and is suitable for guests ranging from solo travellers to families. On the reception floor, there is a communal area with amenities available such as free bread and coffee and even board games and a TV. The rooms are very clean, although the lighting is not very good and the room is relatively dark. The location of the hotel is okay, it is not near a train station but is next to a bus stop that has many buses that lead directly to the city center but since the buses in kyoto are one-time fares, it isn’t very worth it to pay per trip everyday to ride the bus for 1-2 stops. The staff are accommodating and helpful. The rooms do not provide mini bars but they are able to help store baggage easily before check in and other items that require refrigeration for free. The hotel provides new towels everyday but only provide making the bed or changing sheets as an added cost. The hotel provides 3 washers and 3 dryers in the communal area which are self-service and not managed by the staff. Many guests hogged the dryers continuously and late into the night which was frustrating for other guests who were able to wash our clothes but had to wait for hours just to use the dryers.

Overall the hotel is good, but we do not recommend ti stay there. There are bed bugs in the room. We stayed at room #409.

This hotel is so cute, and attracts a young/trendy crowd. It’s in a great location, and the check in / check out process was so easy! The only bummer is that there are only two washing/drying machines, which got VERY busy 😬 Other than that, I absolutely loved my stay here!
