Sora Niwa Terrace Kyoto

Very good location, everything is nearby! A lot of restaurants around:) The hotel provided a free evening cocktail at the rooftop bar, the view is epic! However, the room is a bit small (as usual in Japan), and breakfast is the same every day, a bit disappointing. Apart from that, overall is good!

We recently spent 4 nights here and had a great experience overall. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The hotel's central location is very convenient, providing easy access to Kyoto's popular attractions. Although the room is a bit small, it’s was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. One of the standout features of this hotel is its stunning rooftop terrace overlooking the city, which was our favorite spot to unwind and relax at the end of each day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Sora Niwa Terrace Kyoto to anyone visiting this beautiful city.

Extremely clean and nice hotel. Duvet & bed are comfy. Close to shopping and food.

Room is small. Bed is sunken in. Onsen is great. Breakfast need to book 3 days in advance. Customer Service is average. Price point is slightly too high.

Beautiful hotel, right in the shopping district, 5 min walking to Nishiki market very close to Gion, and the river just behind the hotel. The Onsen was Definitely one of the highlights in our trip, just what we needed after long walking day. The Roof bar is amazing with view and calm atmosphere I’m goanna definitely recommend this hotel

We hv a very terrible experience during our check-in. We booked as 2 adult and 1 kids in 7 months ago. When we checked in, the staff said the hotel had changed its policy and children is not welcome and it was not allowed to hv 3 ppl in a room. We hv a book additional room but the hotel was already fully booked. They could offer an upgrade to VIP room with only 100k yen per night. They said it was a expensive option, and it was fine if we didn't accept it. Of coz, we didn't cause that wasnt our fault. I said it was allowed to hv a child with us when we booked it. They said I need to give evidence for that. Luckily, my booking receipt showed "Child is allowed if they can sleep in the same bed". After checking, they said they gave us an exception and allowed my kid to stay with us this time. "But next time, you need to book 2 rooms but u probably won't come again." We are definitely not coming again. To be honest, the hotel has gd facilities and good location. Amazing views in the bar and common bath. I think if u were couple, it would be fine. But if any issue happens in ur booking, I don't think they would be helpful.

Great location near Kawaramachi station, there are also huge shopping centers within walking distance. Great foot spa and public bath facilities. The room size is small but expected for Kyoto city centre. It’s great for 1 person but might be a tricky for couples and family. Overall a great hotel and would definitely stay again.

I got this property information from XiaoHongShu. Very impressive with the hot spring, sunset and sunrise activities. So we book and stay! We checked in around 3.30pm and go for the evening cocktail with the gorgeous views. Dinner and then enjoy ours night spring. And sunrise spring. Honestly this is the best ever experience. Will come back again!
