Agulhas Ocean House

If you are staying near Struisbaai or L'Agulhas, this is the place if you prefer a nice, small B&B to a bigger hotel. Our hosts, Allan and Sheryl, were absolutely marvelous - so friendly, welcoming, and fun, and they had great recommendations for dining options in town (Zuidste Kaap was terrific, and be sure to check out its tiny back bar - a local hangout for sure). Rooms are large and comfortable (we had the Zen View Suite) and breakfast was great. While not in town per se, that is part of the charm and you are a 5 minute drive to everything. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in a magic place. The accommodation was at the highest standard. Our room had a big bathroom, a massive window overlooking the ocean. Breakfast Is good and we thought Gavin's in town Was a good place for evening meals. Walking distance to the most southern point In Africa.

Had a overnight stay at the property. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. Hosts were very helpful and extremely accommodating. Wonderful breakfast.

Sheryl and Allan welcomed us as at their very beautifully decorated, clean and tidy guest house as if we were part of their family, and were friendly and very attentive to our needs during our stay. All email communication was attended to immediately, special dietary requirements were taken care of. We appreciated the extras e.g. bath gowns, sweets on the pillows. The delicious breakfast boasts oven-baked rolls, tasty muesli, a selection of homemade jams, fresh fruit salad, and eggs according to taste. Their restaurant suggestions for the area were met our standards, and we enjoyed a great dinner nearby. We could choose between two spacious rooms. Thank you for a fantastic stay! Looking forward to our next booking.

In early june we (a group of six friends) spent 2 nights at Agulhas Ocean House. To make a long story short: Allan, Sheryl and their zimbabwean „daughters“ are the perfect hosts! Not only did they worry about our itiniary (dirt roads, flooded areas after a severe storm and blocked roads) but got in touch with our travel agent to let us know there would be a tow service to make it through the water. We were warmly greeted with a cup of hot tea and a roaring fire in the sitting room. Allan and Sheryl provided us with all the information that is needed to spend two carefree days at Kap Agulhas. The Ocean House is worth its name, beautifully located with an impressive view at the Ocean. Allan, thanks for hosing our car, we left Kap Agulhas with a sqeaky clean van. Allan and Sheryl Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend stay at the Agulhas Ocean House. The view was great and the location is fantastic. We were very warmly welcomed by Allan who showed us to our room and invited us for a cup of tea in the lounge overlooking the Idian Ocean. The rooms are spacious, lovely and clean, with everything we needed. Our time with you was just very peaceful and we enjoyed our talks. Breakfast was great and interaction withe the other guests at breakfast was really enjoyable. Than you so much for arranging breakfast for us on Sunday morning.
