Good surprises: -The area is beautiful. Came for a celebration of life. -The weather was clear and warm (not normally this way we are told) Not so good: -we were charged for the room in its’ entirety when we booked over three months ago -reception only spoke French (ok, I can speak French) -the hideabed was not sleepable, so our mattress had to be on the floor -the toiletries are either body wash or shampoo (the one dispenser was not labelled) -the fan in the bathroom was too loud to use Good for a stopover, but not a destination.

This was a wonderful basic facility for may fairly quick stay. My bathroom was remodeled nicely and the breakfast was wonderful. The view was great and my stay was relaxing.

Amazing place to stay whilst discovering this part of Canada. The food we ate whilst staying was excellent. We stayed early in the season, so unfortunately could dine every day, but would have if we could! Hotel is a little dated but that’s what makes it unique. It’s exceptionally clean and tidy throughout. All the staff were super helpful too. We had booked a room over looking the river, with a large spa bath in the room (yes in the room) but it was amazing and such a treat after a busy day (and unfortunately we experienced wet/cold weather, so this was perfect to warm up too). Best decision we made! Don’t hesitate to book this hotel!

Top. beautiful place. amazing view. very comfortable rooms with big modern bathrooms. Saguenay fiord is nature pure. Very kind woman at the reception. 😍 this are the places that makes Canada 🇨🇦 so beautiful. Wwe are happy to recommend this place at any time.

We we very disappointed with our stay. The room was below average. Dinner was totally not what we expected. Selection was limited and did not taste good. At the price we paid, there should have been water and other drinks available in the room. They have nothing to eat or drink on site outside of their dinner hours of 6 to 8 pm. There’s a bar but it’s closed. Not a place I’d ever recommend.

we chose this hotel due to its location. The building is dated and the view great if not for the electrical wires you see on the other side near the water. The staff very pleasant and accommodating breakfast just ok.

On arriving at the hotel it had a very Swiss feel to it. The staff are bilingual if you have no French. The TV was broken in our room and the receptionist went above and beyond to sort it for us. We had a room overlooking the fjord and the sunsets were stunning. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a varied selection but you need to pay the waitress when you have finished. We presumed it would be added to our final bill.

An amazing stay at L’Auberge des Battures. Staff were incredible. The cuisine blew us away. It was wonderful. Beautiful views from room overlooking fjord.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Breakfasts and dinners were superb, with the dinner experience enhanced by beautiful sunsets over the river. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful.
