Hotel Punta Lara Noirmoutier - Vue Mer - Nouvellement rénové

We stayed here for three nights and were told it was the “end of season” and so there was very little staff on hand. This was clear when we attempted to order four cocktails (three of which are on the bar menu) to be told they couldn’t make them and/or didn’t have the ingredients. We ordered a beer by the pool on our one sunny day, to be served a small beer when we’d paid for a large beer. The waiter was going to bring another small beer, but never returned. The rooms are really small, and I don’t know why they’d ever have been built that small when there is plenty of space?! They are rundown and in need of rejuvenation. The bed pillows are square, which is uncomfortable to sleep on, and we had ONE bath robe for a room with two occupants. The towels are small and thin. The room was cleaned regularly but as several other reviews have noted, the safe did not work. The beach at the front of the hotel is lovely to look at from the balcony but is unusable as an actual beach. The pool looked lovely, and clean, but it was too cold to use it. I wouldn’t return.

Good: - just the location Bad: - the wall box for electric cars is out of service - the restaurant is closed 2 days in the week so you need to find a solution by yourself - there is no room service - our room phone was also out of service - in the week we spend there no one came to clean our room for 2 days - the safe in the room was out of service so we needed to ask the keys in the reception - one morning we saw a mouse running between the tables during the breakfast - the restaurant menu is very limited and expensive for the options proposed - we rent bikes from the hotel with a baby-seat to visit the island and the baby-seat fall down in the middle of the street with my 3 years daughter on it. I walked 3km under the mid-day sun with my daughter in the arms to get back to the hotel. After that we definitely decided to quit the hotel even with one more day reserved. From my point of view if you can’t provide quality service just close the doors and fix the problems first. It’s unacceptable a 4* hotel with all this problems in less than a week. So far my worst experience. It’s sad that our only summer vacation of the year was such a nightmare.

Hotel is at an amazing location, with great view to the sea. Beach is wonderful for treasure hunting and collecting sea shells during the low tide. There are fantastic walking and running paths from the hotel. All the rooms have a beautiful view to the sea and the beach is very private. I could just sit in the balcony and listen to the waves forever. Breakfast is very well worth it’s price. Only regret I have is that we didn’t stay for longer! While we stayed it was historically one of the hottest days ever, over +40c (+104 F) and it would have been nice to have AC or a fan at least. We kept the balcony door open during the night to let the sea breaze in. But I do understand these were some exceptional circumstances. And what comes to Noirmontier island itself… Part of my heart is now forever there! I almost cried when we checked out and had to leave! I truly truly hope to be back someday.

The location is great but the hôtel needs a full refurbishment ; everything looks old and used. Our room was very small, poor wifi, safe box not working, bathroom door not working, 2 single beds rather than 1 and we stayed just one night. I have problems to understand how it could be a 4 stars

Une literie d'exception,une vue sublime de notre balcon ,l'hôtel est très reposant c est très calme. Service au top ainsi que tout le personnel avec un très bon accueil. Personnel très gentils,compétents,souriants , ambiance cosy .Chambre très propre . Le dîner et petit déjeuner au restaurant de l'hôtel était exceptionnel avec la encore un personnel au top.D'une qualité ou rien n'est a redire (a part que le site n'est pas a jour par rapport au menu proposé sur place)

Belle vue et équipement au niveau. Chambre agréable et confortable pour y séjourner quelques nuitées avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. Belle piscine. Le ménage des chambres peut être amélioré. Sol poussiéreux et les baies vitrées au niveau des rails sont très sales! Cela peut être rapidement amélioré en aspirant et nettoyant le tout.
