Auberge des 3 Canards

I was there for two nights, fortunately, the rooms are old and the furnishings ruined. What is worse though is the rudeness and the fact that no one speaks English (in Canada)! The waiters do not understand a word and even at the front desk getting understood is a tragedy. We returned the first night after an outing and discovered that the room had not been done and the towels not changed. The explanation was that we did not display the sign asking for it to be fixed. When we pointed this out to the front desk (with great difficulty because they do not speak English), stymied they put four towels in our hands and we had to make the beds ourselves.

Very nice position, a little bit outdated. Staff didn't speak much of english, we booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children (1 and 3 yrs old). They gave us a room on the first floor with no elevator and steep stairs saying we were the last one to check in so no other rooms were available. Restaurant with lovely view, not cheap

My wife and I recently stayed at Auberge Des 3 Canards for four nights while visiting this area of Canada. Our stay was uneventful and we found our room, the bed and the shower were comfortable and clean. Sitting outside our room and reading or just enjoying the view was rewarding. Most importantly our room was accessed directly from the outside not from one of the foul-smelling and stuffy interior corridors. If you can only obtain an interior accessed room I would suggest staying somewhere else. All of the interior spaces at the Auberge other than our room suffered from the lack of fresh air. We ate dinner at the Auberge's restaurant one time and found it bland and uninteresting. There are so many other good restaurants in the local to select instead. Breakfast is included with the room rental and we used it daily. The menu remains unchanged each day and lacks those things you would expect in a French bistro or cafe. The best item is the toast you make yourself over a grill in the gas fireplace. On the other hand, the staff is to be praised. Both the room maid and the gardeners were friendly and put up with my poor French. The desk attendant was very helpful in resolving an issue that required French better than my own. I would not choose to return here.

We adored this hotel and are already planning a trip back. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good size closet and bathroom. Really nice to have a balcony to enjoy the view and sit outside with coffee in the morning. The views are incredible and the hotel is quiet. It's just a very peaceful location. Very easy to drive into town. We ended up walking to the ******. Not a bad walk, except for the hill up back up to the hotel. We had dinner and two breakfasts in the restaurant during our stay. Dinner was incredible, but pricy. Breakfasts were also a little pricy but they were big, full breakfasts. The hotel staff and restaurant staff were all friendly and helpful. We were only here for a quick stay, but can picture settling in for a longer visit. There is a small fridge in the room and the coffee provided is good. There are several trails in the area, a couple of which can be accessed from the property.

We recently passed through the Malbae region in Charlevoix and on our first day we arrived early and were looking for a place to have breakfast as we had left very early in the morning from Ontario. I had always wanted to stay/visit the Auberge des 3 Canards for over twenty years. I was very excited that we were told we could have breakfast in their restaurant. We paid $23 each for a breakfast that was below the standard we would expect what I thought was a prestigious establishment. The eggs were very overcooked and under seasoned, the bacon looked like it was the pre-cooked bacon strips you can buy in the grocery store. I would not recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

On y est allé pour souper seulement et je trouve la cuisine un peu cher et exagéré, ça ne vaut pas ça. Il s agit d un bel établissement mais un peu vieillot et une rénovation ne serait pas un luxe mais le service est excellent, point positif, le bar a pain est très original.

Parties communes de l’hôtel un peu vieillottes , nous avions une chambre rénovée donc très correcte avec une très belle vue , mais par contre insonorisation médiocre , on entend tout ce que les voisins disent Quand au restaurant de l’hôtel, la nourriture est médiocre, le magret de canard est insipide et la crème brûlée ressemble à un flan . De plus le service est très long , minimum 3/4 heure d’attente pour un plat Petit déjeuner copieux servi à table et là aussi on attend longtemps

L'auberge est vraiment vieillotte. Pas très propre. Les repas sont mauvais. Et vraiment trop cher pour ce que cest.RIEN à voir avec l ancienne version de l'auberge des 3canards. Les repreneurs bénéficient encore de l ancienne réputation....

4 étoiles … IMPOSSIBLE. - Déco … pas classique … veille et usée - Service à la clientèle basic - Ça fume partout, même les employés! - Mal insonorisé (murs, plafonds et couloirs) - Salle de bain minuscule … moisissures sur les carreaux de douche! - Petits balcons avec du « tapis gazon vert » - Terrain mal exploité … piscine fermée - Petit déjeuner à 22$ + taxes - Et j’en passe! Cette établissement se cache en arrière d’une réputation de années 70, indice qualité/prix: "0"… ATTRAPE À TOURISTES
