Bahiazul Resort Fuerteventura

This was our first attempt at the Villa vacation but not all out as it was within a complex and we did the B&B option. On first impressions the place looked to be immaculate and well maintained on the face of things. Staff are all friendly. Pretty soon the realisation kicks in as the villa is serviced once a week, in our case 4 days before towels were swapped out and the floors were cleaned etc, again the young lady doing so was friendly and thorough so no complaints there, only with the infrequent towel change. The pool is also done on the same day. The upsetting thing on this is that the following day there was a storm that has left the pool and patio area unusable and despite requesting that they come clean it again, their response was “Doubtful as there are 90 Villa’s with the same issue”. This is our last day ruined with that lack of empathy. No option of late checkout either as guess what, they need to clean the place for the next rental. We fully understand that bad weather is beyond their control but to just offhandedly reject a request was just poor in our opinion. The villa itself is pretty decent if just a little dated but it does have everything you would require for a self catering vacation. The pool in the villa is probably the most rundown looking of the entire place but again still usable, that is unless you come up against storms.

Villa: Club with Heated pool Time of stay: Christmas Location: at least 45 mins walk to nearest town & restaurants. 2 large supermarkets 5 mins away. Unfortunately our villa selection was very tired & outdated internally. Very spacious but the whole villa & pool area is well overdue a renovation. Internally very different to pictures seen on Instagram & holiday company website. The heated pool we paid extra for means it’s 26 deg. This is still cold especially in December & the sun was never on the pool. WIFI didn’t connect in child’s bedroom. Bedrooms are not connected which means when staying with children you have to sleep with all patio doors unlocked so they are able to get into the main living area & you if there was a problem. But this is straight out to the pool area. This is a security & health /safety risk. Buffet good selection at breakfast. Evening meal was generally good by buffet standards. Staff are exceptional. Christmas Day restaurant was decorated lovely & staff worked very hard. We paid extra for 140 euros each incl child for Christmas Day. There wasn’t any thing like an English traditional option of a Christmas dinner. It was disappointing for the amount of money paid. Taxi to corralejo is Approx 8 euro. It is far to walk at least 45 mins & wouldn’t fancy it in the heat or at night. 2 large supermarkets close by good value. Hotel externally very well maintained. Unfortunately our villa just didn’t live up to money paid, expectations & Christmas Day was a disappointment.

This is a pleasant set of villas which are well equipped internally and externally. The positives are numerous; excellent location for supermarkets, not far from the town (although need a car), close to beach (5-10 min drive), local sand dunes which are very attractive, decent pool, jacuzzi, BBQ equipment, spacious rooms. Unfortunately there were several important negatives. The system is disorganised, and our pool was not heated despite asking. The agent had made a mistake with our booking and we had to move villas on our penultimate night which was disruptive. The area around the pool is EXTREMELY slippy which is quite dangerous. The villas are rather tired and ours had some kind of rising damp, with paint dust flaking off the walls and covering all our belongings. There were ants in the kitchen. Overall this is a decent place but well below what I would expect for the price.

Relaxing 4 day break in May half term with my daughter. The villas are beautiful and clean. They have everything you could need. The resort is peaceful. The breakfast was lovely. 2 supermarkets are a 5 min walk away. Taxi into centre only €7. If you want a peaceful break away I would definitely recommend. I will be returning.

Bahiazul ticked every box for a holiday. Peace & quiet with privacy too. No need to worry about having space by the pool or too much noise. It was just fantastic. Neither of us do well in noisy or busy places so this was heavenly. We booked the excellence villa through club Bahiazul. We got allocated 5-5, so arrived to a platter of ham and cheeses, chocolates, cava in the fridge and other grocery essentials too. The villa was most definitely excellent with very little detail taken care of. The bed was huge, the bathroom phenomenal with a ‘smart toilet’ with a remote control flush and wash and dry function! The pool was perfectly heated for early morning, mid day or evening dips. South facing so always sunny. The sun terrace had amazing seating areas, huge Balinese bed and a jacuzzi that was super warm. There was the blue BBQ and table with 6 chairs too. You get the charcoal etc from the Lidl up the road, I sort of wished you could get it onsite as we ended up buying way more than we needed, and left the lighter in the drawer We also had a washing machine on the roof, so able to do all our laundry before coming home which was a real benefit. Overall Bahiazul was just what our health & wellbeing needed. Can’t wait to return soon.

We have just come back from a week stay here and have loved every bit of it. We had young children and requested an interconnecting door, this is a must for young children (ours are 7 & 3). The rooms were clean and the villa was spacious although could do with a paint spruce up. The blinds are also not black out so would bring black out blinds for the kids room if we visit again. All the staff we met were polite and friendly and the grounds of the resort are kept to a very good standard. The pool & hot tub were brilliant! The town is a 5/10 min drive away and taxi’s were easily got by ringing the security guys who couldn’t do enough to offer any help. The breakfast was also very good with a wide variety on offer. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and hope to return again in the future!
