Bakour Fuerteventura la Pared

I travelled alone with my son on a last minute trip to Fuerteventura and chose this hotel. We hired a car from the airport and drove the hour to the hotel and were greeted with a lovely warm welcome by the lovely receptionist. There is loads of free parking and we were able to park close to our room to get our bags in. The room was perfectly equipped with everything we needed and was always spotlessly clean. Quite often the room was serviced whilst we were at breakfast and the room always looked beautiful. With travelling alone as a woman with a child I was concerned about feeling safe and I shouldn’t have even given it a second thought. The hotel can only be accessed with key cards or through the main reception so I felt so relaxed. The swimming pool is perfect and so peaceful, with plenty of sun loungers and sun beds. The staff are attentive and always ready to help with whatever you need. We drove around the local areas and our highlights were Morro Jable port where we saw sting rays, Morro Jable beach where we fed the chipmunks with some nuts, Sotavento Beach (paradise), El Cotillo lagoon, Glass Beach, and Correlejo dunes. The sunset at the beach in La Pared is stunning and people travel to come and witness how spectacular it is. We had breakfast in the hotel each morning which was a great wide selection and always something fresh to choose from. What a fantastic place! Thank you Bakour Fuerteventura, we loved it!

Very tired 3* hotel We liked: Christian on reception We didn’t like: Bed not that comfortable and in 2025 I don’t expect just an unfitted sheet and a blanket! And the room was quite cold. The shower flooded the bathroom floor. The bar was soul-less and empty. We chose not to eat here. We didn’t like the security fence outside our room- it was supposed to be ‘sea view’ but only through the fence. If you’re on a tight budget and want a cheap hotel near a beach, with a pool, it’s good value and adequate. If you want luxury it’s probably not the right choice. It’s in a very quiet town so not much to do outside of beach or pool

We booked a family room and arrived at the kids bedtime. On entering the room it was clear the sofa bed was unmade and no bed linen was provided. I phoned reception at 19.20 and 19.35 to ask for the bed to be made. Both times I was assured someone would be there immediately. After the second call I went to the end of the corridor and got a spare sheet from the linen trolley. I made the bed myself. Once the kids were asleep with the duvet from the main bed I left my wife reading and went for a run. At 20.40 when I returned from my run no one from the hotel had brought any further bedding. At the point I went to reception in person. The second duvet was brought to the room 5 mins later. This was disappointing service from a hotel with the assigned star rating and pricing. I was offered a complimentary breakfast in a bag which I declined due to check in early.

Hola Dears, my family and I would like to thank you for an amazing stay during Xmas and New Year Eve. Junior Suite was quit big for us and our two almost adult girls and we appreciated a lot 2 bathrooms🤣 food, your staff and hospitality were great and all that activities! amazing!! we also took couple of surf lessons which was life experience for us and we will definitly come back next, I mean, this year 🤣

As seasoned Neilson holiday makers (we are on our 15th) we were very pleasantly surprised and delighted with this little gem of a winter holiday. Don’t try and compare it to your all out, high octane Neilson summer experience as this isn’t what this resort is about. This resort offers you amazing scenery, great facilities and some much needed winter sun. All of the staff were great including James from Neilson, and the shared resort with Playitas and Apollo also offered access to some great ‘career professional’ instructors (tennis, fitness and yoga) as well as a broader international mix of other guests, all of whom were incredibly friendly. Plenty of Sun loungers were available by the pool, and we dabbled in most of the activities on offer as well as having a hire car for the week which enabled us to explore the island (very much recommend this). Would also recommend going full board for convenience. We did this instead of our usual winter ski holiday, frankly, I don’t think we will be going skiing again with this on offer - winter sun, relax and rejuvenate and far, far better value than any skiing holiday can offer (we think around 25% of the cost of a ski trip, all in). We will be back next year!

I had a great week at La Pared and enjoyed some road cycling. It's a good base for cycling around the southern part of the island and also enjoyed yoga and the well equipped gym. The bike centre was the highlight of my trip with Boardman SLR 8.9 carbon bikes included, Strava routes and daily guided Road / MTB tours. I did 3 rides led by Harry and James, with Petros helping get my bike set up in the workshop each day. Thanks guys! A word of caution... La Pared has quite a complex setup with activities provided by staff from Neilson (UK). Apollo (Scandinavia) and Playitas (Spain). Guests can book their stay via these companies, direct with the hotel or with e.g. booking.com. The bike centre is run by Neilson, but with limited numbers of bikes available, saw that they were prioritised for guests booking via Neilson or Apollo. Those that booked elsewhere were sometimes disappointed, so if you're from the UK and want to cycle, my advice is to book with Neilson.
