Beautiful Quiet Property, fabulous Staff. Great room with good shower and comfortable bed. 5 mins walk to the port.

I enjoyed my brief stay here, although I can't say it stands out as one of the best Relais & Chateaux hotels I've been to. The room was cute but not especially charming, (and a little small) and I would say could probably use a little renovation to justify the price. One thing that wasn't great: they told me their affiliated restaurant at the beach could seat me until 10.30pm, but when I arrived at 10.15pm the restaurant told me it was already too late. When I got back to the hotel they apologised, and offered to send me up a cheese plate (now my only dinner option as all other restaurants I tried in town had closed), which I accepted, sort of assuming it was a gesture to make up for getting the restaurant time wrong - and was quite surprised to find it added to my bill on check out!

One of our good friends from the hotel industry suggested we stay in this great hotel. She told us that it was one of the best in France. She was correct. If you like personal service, a small luxury hotel, where nothing is a problem...then this is the place for you. If you like impersonal large hotels, with gold taps and other hideous design features - this place is not for you. It's real. Like being in your own home, the staff know your name, who you are, what you like to drink etc. The rooms a beautifully decorated, in a minimalist beachside style. Access to their two great restaurants is assured, and you can count on their whole team looking after you like it's your place. It's in a large Maison in a back street of the main centre...easy walking to everywhere. Don't be taken aback by it's quite presence on the street, that's part of the magic, understated and proper. Highly recommended.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Room was newly appointed and spotless. Garage adjoins hotel and totally safe for your nice car. Two minor complaints. Breakfast at 45eur per head is not really worth it, better options without walking distance for less. Products are solid soap for hair and body. Guess supposed to help environment but they probably don’t and aren’t great. However staff immediately found alternatives. Overall really like and recommend this hotel

Very nice property. Extremely friendly service. Clean, quiet room with everything working well and comfortable. The restaurant associated with the hotel, Coutanceu, is superb and in my running for best restaurants in the world. It is by far my favorite. I would absolutely stay here again as a price of entry to the restaurant. I give Grand Voile 4 stars only because their WIFI service is not compatible with Apple products with recent updated software. My Ipad, IPhone, and Macbook were all ejected from the network after a short period and unable to reconnect. The staff could not figure out how to get the splash page back. A call to the front desk for help did not get it working. While it worked it was super, but their filter / splash page barrier kept all of my devices out. I was relegated to limping through on my cellular wifi plan. It should be a simple and inexpensive fix for the hotel to fix their WIFI access as their internet backbone is already good.

The staff of this hotel were extremely helpful and friendly. It felt more like staying in someone’s home not a hotel. The rooms were spacious and had everything you need. We loved the special touches by the staff - from the chocolates to the cakes, dinner recommendations (with the best table), directions and suggestions - they made the experience 5 star!
