Unique accommodation with direct access to small music venue. We stay a couple of nights, met some great local people and enjoyed the live music. Not a five star resort but not trying to be one. More like staying at a friend's house. Easy walk to a number of restaurants and shops.

This was our third or fourth time staying here, we love it. We visit family in Lafayette every Easter weekend and have stayed at the Blue Moon the last few years. The Balcony room is the best and we love the bar and venue downstairs. Bar staff is always super fun!

We stayed briefly while on a road trip. The guest house beds are comfy and the house was very clean. The communication was good. The kitchen had enough equipment for a basic meal. Nearby we found an ice cream joint and a smoked meat lunch spot-both yummy. We were there on a Monday so the Blue Moon was resting.

Very Nice place, with good vibe. BUT the bathroom was barely usable, the shower is old without a hose… Also we were 3 and the couch/sofa didn’t have any sheets which was uncomfortable. Finally the room is very open to light in morning so difficult to have decent night in the morning. Too bad because the house + bar makes it a very nice place to stay. But yeah overall lack of comfort +++. (I was in the bird nest)

Great place. Very different. I was running the marathon in Lafayette. Friendly staff, contactless checkin and checkout. The shower was shared but no issues..kitchen with Kuerig machine did the job. Location was convenient to the marathon. And Borden’s I cream store is across the street. I wish I could have taken in a show.

We chose to stay at the Blue Moon Saloon and Guest House because we were looking to stay close to the culture of Louisiana. We stayed in the Bois Sec and it was cozy and quaint. Our room was clean and inviting. The saloon had a friendly bartender that offered excellent service and the music was organic (which we loved). The atmosphere was laid back and friendly. We plan on staying again on our next trip to Lafayette.

We've stayed here a few times, and it was fine. The last time we stayed, we parked where we were instructed (via text and also in person) like usual, and the man who I'm assuming owns those spaces chased us into the house and then blocked us into the parking lot. We went to the staff, and they were shocked but didn't do anything. Don't tell people to park in places they can't and/or are at risk of being assaulted.

We are live music fans and so enjoyed the cajun music night. The bar was busy and great talking to locals and other visitors. Our room was clean and nice vintage style. The bathroom was a bit basic and the broken shutters on the window meant it was very light in our room. Nice big kitchen. We would stay again. It would have been nice to have some face to face contact with the owners rather then the anonymous messages by email but we are old fashioned like that. A unique place to stay in Lafayette

The Blue moon property was quite a surprise. It’s an old house that has been repurposed into a funky cool spot. Everything was clean. Check in was simple. Communication was great. The bar and music stage was intimate. Just a great place! Mark was great. Friendly and thoughtful. He came by to make sure there were enough blankets bc for Lafayette, it was quite cold. Live music was a neat addition. Had a great stay!
