Broadoaks Boutique Country House

We visited this beautiful country house hotel for my youngest daughters wedding. What can I say? 5 star all around . Izzy and her wedding planning team working with my daughter and son in law were amazing. Their attention to detail , friendliness and professionalism were 5 star. In terms of the hotel and their staff well we stayed the night before and Kayleigh ,Deanna and Lewis but all of them were so friendly made you feel special and had the human touch . The evening meal was perfect 3 courses of superb quality served by the most attentive and friendly waiting team . The wedding breakfast drew so many highly positive comments . Everyone I heard said it was the best wedding meal they'd had . The rooms are amazing we were in the old Coach house beautiful decoration the most comfy bed even for me at 6ft 5 . An outstanding hotel in a very beautiful location with an outstanding team at every helm . Congratulations to you all as you made our daughters special day so very special. We are no strangers to the Lake District and make a number of visits each year. The area offers a phenomenal range of accommodation in some fantastic locations but we have settled on Broadoaks as our hotel of choice. They have a variety of rooms and lodges which are not only of the highest quality but all have their own unique features. The food is superb and the staff are excellent. Also, the location couldn't be better placed in terms of being centrally located within the Lake District. There are walking opportunities from the door or public transport to all parts only a few minutes walk down the road. We tried Broadoaks once and are now hooked. We can't recommend it highly enough.

From arrival to leaving this hotel ticked all the boxes . The staff couldn’t do enough for you . Everyone worked hard to make our stay wonderful. Most hotels have good food ? This place has cooked up a storm . I would even say exceptional. ( I have been to many hotels so can happily give this review) presentation, variety and of course taste . Alcohol was not expensive in my opinion. Breakfast was the same . Our room was the boudoir. Couldn’t fault it , tastefully decorated and warm . Robes and shower gells provided . Jacuzzi an added bonus . If I could say that the only thing I felt would benefit the room ( in my opinion) is vanity table could use a lamp and the bathroom could do with either a bigger bath mat or something none slip putting on the floor or a warning sign to say it may get slippy . This is only because when you put the jacuzzi on the water can go over . Other than this I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and stay again.

The two-night stay for our anniversary was exceptional. The team provide an excellent, friendly service, be they reception, maintenance, bar or restaurant. The food was beautiful and nicely presented. The location is perfect for the Windermere/Ambleside area and we will return

The room we stayed in was very nice but bit on the small side especially the bathroom although both room and bathroom nice and clean.Staff couldn't do enough for you breakfast was excellent and plentiful would highly recommend for short stay.

The afternoon tea was £22.50 each and was worth the money. The staff were lovely especially the lady on reception sure she said she had been there a month but we arrived early and was allowed to sit and wait inside and if we wanted an drink from the bar whilst waiting and the Scouse man was always checking if we needed any more drinks and explained what we was eating exactly when serving us the after tea. I also had an accident and spilt my bru all down the table cloth and he was very understanding when I told him. Would definitely recommend.
