Rooms are okay only issue is they have a lot of rats and mice out back. I was in room 108 and looking out my window I could see dozens of rats in the garbage bin area running everywhere. I went to go outside the conference room doors and a big rat was looking through the glass of the door. They need to focus on hiring an exterminator, the rats have a main trail across the rocks and if you watch for 5 minutes you can easily count 30 or more, that's the ones visible. Room was a bit musty at first so need to air out the room.

When reserving and pre-paying for a hotel room through a third party website, upon arrival and check-in I was treated like I didn't matter. The hotel staff would not do anything to accommodate our room size being inadequate for our needs (too small with our daughter travelling with us), and I had to ask for extra bedding to make a bed on the small, non-pull-out couch of which they would not deliver the bedding to the room, but instead made us haul it up ourselves. For the outrageous price of $400 a night, I was wildly unimpressed. The room was clean, so I can't say it was a terrible stay. But I suppose customer service is out the window these days. I will specifically avoid Sandman in the future due to this experience.

I stayed for about eight nights on two different occasions in March and April. The first in March was good - on the third floor facing the carpark which was the quietest side of the hotel. The staff on the whole were pleasant and helpful and rooms were taken care of when the notices were placed on the door. The second visit in April - not so much. I was on the ground floor, on the carpark side again but right by the entrance. Rooms were not serviced very well, restocking was hit and miss and bed making was minimal. The room above had very squeaky floorboards (or whatever they are) and disturbed my sleep. The curtains kept coming off the track and I couldn't close them properly - maintenance came and fixed them twice and then I sort of gave up. The room was fairly shabby but expected I suppose for a hotel. The most annoying thing was that hockey players were staying and gathered under the entrance canopy to drink and smoke. Each time they got louder and louder and in the end were shouting at the top of their voices, right outside my room. The last night it was horrendous and I tried to call reception to complain but there was no answer. Reception staff in the morning said I should have come out and rung the bell - something I was not prepared to do because the people were drunk. Apparently the last crowd in a limousine playing loud music at past midnight were not guests of the hotel but had been picked up from there.

Housekeeping is poor. You have to request housekeeping or it doesn't get done. We requested housekeeping before leaving for the day. We had booked 4 rooms for four nights. Housekeeping made our bed, but no one elses. The wet towels were still in the bath tub uopn our return and coffee hadn't been replaced. The next morning, I expalined FULLY what housekeeping needed to be done. This time our romm had its bed made, the dirty dishes taken away and not replaced, but at least the towels were replaced. The toilet in the girls room was plugged and reported to the nightshift front desk staff who committed to have maintenance repair in the morning. When we left in the morning, they reminded front desk about fixing toilet. Upon our return that evening, no one had fixed the toilet. Front desk staff said they didn't have maintenance on, so it'll have to wait for morning. I called down to say this wasn't satisfactory as there were three girls in the room and what happens if they need to go to the bathroom at night? (The hotel was full of young people and we didn't want the girls to be roaming to one of our other rooms late at night to use another room.) Front desk said they'd look into it. Looking into it meant delivering a plunger to a 14 yr old girl and leaving. By the time I got to the hotel, the girld had been able to plunge the toilet and have it working again. We have been coming to this hotel for about 4 years now. It's very convenient to Thunderbird park, but the staff seem rudderless and unable to solve what I expect to be routine problems. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to people anymore.

The front desk refused to give me my corporate rate trying to charge me almost double the amount. I have direct billing with Sandman and he also refused to do that without an email. As this was a family emergency I did not have time to email ahead. Rude manager and I had to drive another hour completely exhausted. Never bother them with my business again!

Unfortunately this room and others had a very strong smell that we couldn’t get rid of even after leaving the window open all day. This smell also was a problem in other rooms on different floors. Maybe an overpowering deodorizer? Otherwise, excellent service from staff. Hotel has wonderful amenities. King suite even had a washer and dryer that came in handy for washing uniforms between games. Perfect location for Langley Sports Center and getting around town. Clean rooms. Clean facilities.

Ram runs a fantastic operation. His staff are next level on service and quality. The cleanliness is top notch and so are the on-site facilities. The restaurant next door also has great food and location

Disappointing for a hotel that charges 300.00 a night on a weekday. I think it's reasonable to expect English speaking people to convey issues to that understand what your saying. I'm patient but after repeating the same sentence four times I gave up.... The TV is the size of a laptop screen and ordering from Moxies room service takes a rocket science degree. Get some new tvs for gosh sakes it's 2023...... these LGs from 2008 are a little dated. YOUR CHARGING PREMIUM RATES FOR SO SO PRODUCT. This is my last time here after years of being loyal. It's busy here I'll say that but I'm headed to Marriot, Hyatt or Hilton, same price but always well done every time.
