Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan recensioner

We just returned home from Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan. It was our first time in Cebu. It was a short but great trip. The highlights: Accommodations: We chose Crimson because we frequent high-rise hotels when traveling and decided this time we wanted a villa/bungalow type of room. No hallways and no elevators. Crimson checked those boxes. They also accommodated our requests for a king bed and first floor room. Activities and amenities: Our daughter loved Crimzone and the children’s pool. It was hard to get her to leave. The Saturday foam party was fun and the pool staff were engaging. My wife and I both availed the spa and wow, we can see why they won an award for Best Value in Asia. The price was affordable while the quality of service was top-notch. Food: The buffet breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. My favorite item was the fruit and veggie smoothies. Who knew bakchoy and mango blend well together? But it was the attentive staff that really made breakfast a great experience. We tried the 24-hour room service and I swear the chicken club sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in my entire life 5/5! The lowlights: Here are some reasons why we are not giving Crimson an excellent review. 1. Overpriced/low quality food in Saffron during ala carte dinner. Our first night we arrived in the evening and were hungry. For two people (our daughter is a toddler) we paid over 5000php for an appetizer, 3 entrees, one beer and one bottle of water. Honestly, the price would be ok for this amount of food if the quality was better. I would suggest Aka or Enye for higher quality food although we didn’t try either. Saffron was empty that night and we found out why. 2. Distance to places/sites. Crimson is quite far for shopping or eating at other restaurants. We hired a private car for 3 hours and was only able to visit two sites and one pasalubong store. Luckily it was only moderate traffic on that Saturday. 2500php for a sedan for 3 hours was reasonable. 3. The gift shop is waaaay overpriced. 950php for a small tube of sunblock seemed very high even at a resort. We also wanted some souvenirs, but there wasn’t much variety at all. 4. Our room needed some TLC. The paint in the nice tub was chipping, the caulking in the showers could use a refresh and there was a huge ipis (roach) in the closet. Luckily we spent most of the time outside the room. 5. No floaties or life vests for toddlers to use, even for rental. Despite having almost everything else, this would have been a nice touch. 6. We came to Cebu for mangoes and lechon, but Crimson didn’t offer these items and again, because of distance, it would have been nice to have some at the hotel. The bottom line: We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others, however we would give them our full review so they are aware of the pros and cons. Thank you to the wonderful staff that made up for the minor issues we encountered!

Very good hotel with many facilities for family holidays and with young children, good breakfast and several high quality food options.

Great service, great location and very friendly staff. By far the best breakfast buffet I saw in a long time, with fresh sourdough bread, an egg-station and a lot of perfect pastry! 🥐 The rooms are small personal houses which are very comfy!

Beautiful hotel, friendly and welcoming staff and great service. The food was delicious and the breakfast buffet in the morning had many options.

We love this place, the staff is friendly and we requested a buggy to send us to one of their restaurant on a heavy rainy night from our villa The buggy guy didn’t make a fuss about it. The bathroom of the villa where we stayed needs to have a shower door. The food from Saffron restaurant is not that good. But the amenities love it, especially for kids. See you again soon Crimson!

Absolutely amazing hotel. Special shout out to the staff and facilities at Crimzone the kids club. Outstanding staff who really take care of the kids amazingly. Great pools, lovely rooms. We had a wonderful stay for 6 nights

Excellent hotel. Very friendly staff. Food is exceptional and varied. Beach and pool are fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will stay here again on my next trip.

Stayed 2 nights at the Garden Deluxe room. Beautiful landscaping with lots of flowers. Room is so spacious & clean with super comfortable bedding. All the resort staff greet guests with smiles, made guests feel so welcome. The private beach front resort is great for snorkeling too, saw many fishes. This resort has 2 big swimming pools, one facing the sea with nice music. The breakfast buffet spread is fantastic and so delicious. The Spanish restaurant Enye has a great ambience & food presentation is great. Thanks for offering us a special cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was indeed a very memorable vacation at Crimson resort Cebu. Would love to return next time we come to Cebu.

We spent 8 days at the resort, our first ever stay at the resort. Although it is by the sea, beach area is very small. You cannot go for a stroll on the sea…which kinda beats the purpose of being by the sea. Still, view from the Azure restaurant - where we used to sit most of the day- was nice. It’s supposed to be ‘garden resort’! With rooms on the ground level in a hut kinda setup. Very very few villas if they have beach view.  It was quite relaxing with fresh air though. Pool is nice. Very well maintained property. Food at the breakfast was fantastic. And the staff even more so. Very helpful and caring. They looked after us extremely well. Special thank you to dear Jana who prepared special food for us everyday. Generally everyone at the hotel were top class!  Spa was nice too. Dimi who helped me there was excellent at her job.

Had a great time! Customer service was superb and facility was exceptional! I love the ambience, breakfast was great.

The staff was amazing 😍 and made our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely return again this year and I recommend this resort to friends and family. Thank you.
