Our favorite room is the sun porch, with ceiling to floor windows looking out at the forest and including stunning views of Mount Ypsilon, Fairchild Mountain, and Chiquita Peak. We spend hours here each morning enjoying the views of mountains, forest, and various wildlife on our 2 ½ acre property. Our guests have seen deer, elk, turkey, moose, black bears and wonderful birds, rabbits and chipmunks. The outdoor porches are accessed through doors on either side of the sun porch, as well as the front and side doors of the main living room. Grill your favorite meats and vegetables on our outdoor grill located on the side porch by the dining area. This main level has 1 king bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 queen bedroom, small washer and dryer, sun porch, kitchen, dining and living room with fireplace and front and side outdoor porches with fantastic views. From the living room, a log stairway leads to the upper level Master Bedroom. This bedroom has two closets, a king bed and a private porch with spectacular views. The bathroom boasts a steam shower and two sinks. A small living area with couches, a table and picture window looking out to the fabulous mountains also looks down to the living room below. On the other side is an open loft bedroom with a trundle bed and closet. The exquisite stone fireplace was built by a prolific, local mason and serves as the focal point for the cabin interior. Appliances include a gas stove, a small oven, a microwave and a modern retro refrigerator with freezer. The bed was comfortable and room was warm. I stayed by myself but it’s a good size for a small family. There are games, a blow dryer, outlets, and some great local tips for your outdoor adventure. Definitely recommend this spot!
